Yeah, read that, too. How close he came to not only losing a leg but to cashing it in forever. So lucky he got good medical care and has a supportive family!
I think espn showed this video as the schedule show was opening tonight.
It's encouraging, and hope he continues healing and recovering.
As an aside, I'd be at least mildly surprised if he ever plays another down in the NFL. Those pesky age and skill deterioration things, ya know...
Ask Joe Theismann.
From the video I've seen of Smith during his rehab, his leg looks like a modern art interpretation of a human limb. If he ever walks without a gimp I will be impressed.
My colleague- his sky diving mishap described in a post 16 months ago- has been without crutches since last December. Stairs are still a challenge for him. He doesn't seem as enthusiastic about jumping again.
I had a similar injury. Shattered my tib and fib close to the joint. The arthritis is what sucks the most.
I have to gimp down the stairs every morning as it takes my ankle a good hour to loosen up.
Biofreeze is your friend
This stuff has worked really well for me.
They could've called something other than "Amish Origins".
That just means the recipe hasn't changed or been influenced by an outside gene pool
Quiet Qure?

No. That would be this.
What. A. Story. Smith deserves kudos galore. And those pictures? OMG. His leg opened up looks like it's on a cadaver...
Have to wonder what kind of football Jones he has/had. I have to admire his constitution while at the same time I question his thinking.
We watch some tough guys.
