β€œSeen” that.

Dont know what to think of it. What I do know is that anyone who uses the term β€œI seen” ( and it’s increasing in frequency)  needs to be smacked in the mouth with an English dictionary.

*edit. Y.A. I’d seen a Twitter tweet about that.

Dude just declared he was done with the Packers and crickets on this board? Good riddance? Er, riddens?

IMO, Lazard is a good #3 everywhere else. He is way more valuable to the Packers than to other teams because of the way this offense is SUPPOSED to be run.

Interesting comments from Lazard. I'm guessing he will be back if the money is right. He's a good #3 and an excellent blocker but he may see himself as a #2 and I don't think he is. I do hope he comes back.

I seen you, and I heard you, Lizard. Partly, I think it was disappointment talking. However, he may see himself as more valuable than he really is. This is a great offense for him, and he was a third-down machine this year. He was more open this year than in any previous year, and he was a chain-mover in addition to his blocking. It would be a loss if he left, but I think they'll try to find a way to keep him.

They need to get better than Lazard. He's a good guy to have at close to a minimum salary. He's not a guy who is even a #2 WR on a good offensive team.

He's a WR/TE tweener. He's an A+ level blocker as a WR and a C+ blocker as a TE. He's an A+ level blocker as a WR on DBs and smaller LBs and a C+ in the passing game. He's just too slow and can be covered in man coverage by a safety.

Lazard is our best blocking wide receiver. He was pretty clutch, for us when we needed to pick up a first down. I hope he stays...

I agree in part. With Rodgers at QB running the Rodgers offense, he is not worth it. His value increases if they run the MLF offense and his blocking becomes invaluable.

Everyone, I think, knows how I feel about Lazard . Yes he did drop more passes this year but of course all were not his fault. The numbers I don't know.  Everyone feels like he is not a #1WR ,or a #2 but most think he is good for the cause. My question is the obvious as discussed here frequently. Why can't we put him at TE and see how he does a few games? Starting this preseason WITH the starting QB for next year? I bet he would be a #1A TE !

He wouldn't be as good a blocker as Lewis but very decent of course.

The Packers cap hell is due to way more than Rodgers...in fact KC and Dallas have way more tied up in their QB contracts than GB. The only reason it's bad for the Packers is that if 12 retires or they trade him, they take the hit since they front loaded the bonus. Having the highest paid LT and  3rd highest paid DT also makes it sticky.

The cap can always be manipulated...and signing Jenkins to a more cap friendly extension helps.

Though it may not be what many want to hear, this probably means 12 is coming back and not being traded. They will pick up Love's 5th year option, and probably tell them both this is 12's last year, and 10 is going to be QB1 in 2024.

Of course this could all be out the door if 12 decides to hang it up...which to me seems more likely than him coming back and being traded. The cap hit is the same either way for the Packers...you'd just get compensation if he's traded.

He's always said he wanted to spend his whole career with one team...him walking around and taking it all in makes me feel like retirement at that moment was seriously on his mind.

I feel for 10 in this situation, but he has no say in this other than to request a trade...which he can do all he wants, but if the Packers pick up his 5th year option, he has no say at all.

Love's 5th year option is worth quite a bit of money and I'm not sure the Packers can invest even more money in that position and keep Rodgers and Love. They need to make a commitment to Love and extend him like they did with Rodgers after his 3rd year or he'll just leave after next season. He has no reason to not test the open market. I just don't see how Rodgers and Love can both be on the roster next season. It's either turn the keys over to Love, trade him, or watch him play out his option and leave in FAcy. The latter two are not the best options for the Packers.

Lazard isn't that good.  The door was wide open this year and last year for him to go for 80 catches and 1,000 yard and he couldn't do it. He had no competition to be Rodgers #1 target at the start of the season and couldn't step up.  That's fine when he's making $4m.  Not fine if he's going to command double that.

Classic case of a fan base overvaluing one of our own.  I do it all the time, but it's true with Lazard.
