How dare the Packers' multiple MVP QB have opinions and observations about the players he has practiced with and against and how dare he express those opinions to the media when asked, even though many (and you) criticized him for not saying what he was unhappy about.  What a cancer.

It would be nice if he had realistic ones.

I hear what you're saying PH... playing with a MVP quarterback is a draw and certainly the possibility of winning a championship is enticing.  But at the end of the day, it all about the money for most players.  It would be for me too...

The Jets are able to sign free agents.  Has to be about the money there, no?

Money is always going to be the top thing.

But there can be a tipping point. If the Jets and Packers are offering a free agent comparable money and they both have a scrub at QB, what are the odds of picking GB over NYC for a young guy?

Now put Sam Darnold in NY and Rodgers in GB. Decision might flip over just that. Plus if you let Rodgers actively recruit these guys, who knows what kind of difference that could make?

Rodgers and no one else is trying to say that you just flash his name and everyone comes crawling to GB.

This isn't even about whether Rodgers' opinions are accurate.  The point is, is he involved?  Some people here have gotten caught up in the high school drama of it all and are having some bizarrely intense reactions, but his desire to have a voice is not out of line with his talent or contribution to the team.

...and what would most people say has made them good?    HOF QB's.   ...and what did Aaron Rodgers say.   They would come to play with him.

So in a round about way, you are confirming what he said.

Guys, WI is great in it's own weird way.   But let's not be delusional here.   The vast majority of people are not going to include it in there top 20 states they would like to live in.

Wisconsin (and Michigan) are beautiful from May to early November.

A lot of people that love Wisconsin (or Michigan) want to get out from November until April.

Nobody growing up playing anywhere outside the Upper Midwest dreams about playing or living in Green Bay in December or January. That's just the way it is.

Even happens to baseball teams with excellent facilities

I don’t think Brady had any personnel say with Bellichik. I have serious doubts that either of them had much at all, especially Brady.

You mean like when they traded Garappolo to SF?

Not everybody loves the outdoors and Green Bay isn't some cultural mecca.

Sure, but there's also a double standard.  It's a shibboleth that places like Green Bay are uninviting to urbanites and southern black athletes.  But if you've got an outdoors type who doesn't like the big city, it's somehow his fault for not being able to handle it.  There's never any expectation that the accommodation go both ways.

Hank can take that 1 of 2 ways.

a) list all the posters who get more butthurt than himself, taking the opportunity to verbally flog each

b) attack bdplant, not realizing it was sarcasm

and again.. I'm glad he's our QB this year. his supreme confidence and paranoia make him a swell QB.  But he is a true jack ass--Somebody needs to explain this to him: You want input on who stays? Put your money where your mouth is--You've got more money than your grandkids can spend (if he has kids when he grows up).Our payroll relies on a finite cap. Most of that is going to you. You want to keep your pals? We'll keep em, give us some cap room in the way of your salary---aren't they paying you enough at your other job with State farm?--No kidding... this is not without precedent--hell Mike Evans  of TB talked about it a couple months ago--Rick Sutcliffe did it to sign Andre Dawson with the Cubs---I am a cash strapped nobody and I did it to keep a work team together---it happens... I'm not advocating that people give up salary to line the pockets of their rich overlords, but in a situation where a cap is in play and  you make more money than your rich overlords, you can do more than pout.

So after the Packers win the Super Bowl this year, if AR still wants to leave, does he have any say in where he goes?  I seem to remember that when this all came about, there was talk that he did NOT have a no trade clause.  Does anyone know if this is still the case with his new contract?

IF the Packers win the SB this season, he can do whatever he pleases as long as the Packers are properly compensated.

Rodgers can't force a trade next offseason.

If the Packers decide to trade Rodgers, he technically has no say in where.

Packers win the Owl, he'll be a Packer for life and they'll trade Love in '23.
