Cam had absolutely perfect conditions to throw yesterday.  Some of that is his OL giving him time to find his 4th option and some of that is his threat to run.  He missed some wide open guys but also threw some really nice balls.  It would be interesting to see how he handles pressure if DEN can generate some.  Bum has his work cut out because that team is a terror right now.

Be sure to pause to let them chant "MVP" Cam you insufferable narcissist.

Yeah, "Cam I Am".  We gotta watch the ego "blow up" for the next two weeks.

Nobody's forcing you to pay attention to the two weeks of pre-game sh!t.

There's another week of Australian Open tennis; the Bundesliga has resumed after the winter break; or you could watch some good movies.

Nothing like a fixed tennis match to make Cam dissappear from your TV and minds.

Cam has had his issues (laptops, pay to play in college) but his is a winner.  2 national titles, Heisman trophy, probably an NFL MVP and Super Bowl favorite in his 5th season.  I think he'll continue to get better.  If they win in 2 weeks they'll be the first 18-1 SB champs since the 85 Bears, only the 3rd all-time.

I did notice something last week.  Mike & Mike's show on Tuesday all they talked about is they couldn't figure out why people hated Cam Newton.  I have no idea where the narrative came from.  Then on Tuesday night/Wednesday all day on Mad Dog radio every single show the main subject was "why do people hate Cam Newton?" or "where are the Cam Newton haters now?"   It was such a bizarre topic and the fact that 7 national shows had this as their main subject makes you wonder if Cam's team had anything to do with it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see how Carson Palmer ever recovers from that game. He can say, "Hey I finally won a playoff game with the win over the Packers," but he played like crap and left about four INTs on the ground due to Packer DB butterfingers. Stunk up the joint in Charlotte. Gotta think AZ drafts a QB in the first round and starts easing him out soon. He won't take them to the promised land.

... Cam's improvement as a passer is the difference for him and Carolina, if he didn't take that next step as a passer then they would still be just a good running team with a stout defense. His passing is what has put them in the SB, but I still don't think he's a great passer. His OLine has been outstanding and has given him clean pockets with little pressure.

See:
Trent Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Joe Flacco

Now, Scam is a much better athlete than Dilfer or Johnson, but he is nowhere the passer that Flacco is. Regardless, this is the class of QBs that the Scammer belongs in.
Great defenses make good QBs.

I didn't say Cam was a good or great passer, but his passing is the difference between the 2014 and the 2015 Panthers. He is hitting the deep balls to Ginn that he never hit in 2014...he's made Ginn look like a real receiver!
