Atlanta Game Letup?

not worried at all.  the GBP is getting an extra day of rest this week and MM will not let them lose focus.  the D will score in this one thanks to Matty.

MM yesterday called the team the most consistent one in his coaching tenure. They know what the task at hand is and losing focus won't be a problem. 

Which games are you referring to? I presume the Packers have lost to "inferior" teams on the heels of marquee wins. I don't think it's happened many times. The Falcons are not a "good" team by current standards and if McCarthy has one standout talent it's his ability to smooth out the emotional peaks and valleys teams are subject to.

The recipe against the Packers is well known. Stay patient,run the ball,defend the long pass. If opponents can't do those things, the Packers will win.

We seem to have christened this team as elite, elite teams do not lose, much less lose to mediocre teams.

Even if the D plays a subpar game, I just can't see the Falcon offense coming close to matching the Packer's offense against that defense.

A. J. could have gone whining to the media but he did not. He kept his mouth shut, accepted it, and still did his job when called upon.  He didn't leave the field early, didn't stay on the bench at half time or any of the other stuff whiney bitches have done lately.  MM and TT have built a team that is in it for the journey.

times like these are when I'm especially glad to have a coach like MM. Always seems to be aware of situations like that. We can trust that he'll keep the team focused.

Agreed.  That game is going to be on a short week for the Pack in terms of preparation, plus a road game vs. a solid team.  That type of game is always tough. 

 

Atlanta, as a fan I am not worried.  Buffalo, yeah, that one the Pack is going to have to continue to play mistake free ball and hope that the O-Line can keep that pass rush of the Bills at bay. 

Buffalo has faced one top-flight offense all year, that being New England when they played in Buffalo.  NE put up 37 on Buffalo.  Yeah, their defense is decent, but they haven't seen an offense like GB's yet this year nor have they seen a QB like AR.  

 

Of course, Belichick may have been trying to lose that game just to set the Bills up for their next meating in Foxboro.

Hmmmmm.

 

I kind of think the Bills defense statistically is such that the Pack will be motivated to show they can dominate it.

If GB is truly an elite or championship team, these "trap games" or "let-downs" shouldn't be a concern.  

 

I don't expect GB to lose another game this season.  

There are no trap games for these Packers, its just the sitzpinklers struggling to come up with something to soil themselves over.

Buffalo is not going to be much to worry about. They have a pretty good D, but it's a Schwartz defense, so nothing the Packers aren't used to. Their running backs have been injured, Orton is just painful to watch, Scott Chandler can't catch a cold. Just double team Watkins  all day and they won't get very far.

I respectfully disagree.  This is the one game where I thought the Packers would go in as a relatively heavy favorite, yet run into trouble.  It's not the Bills' offense that worries me, it's their defensive line.  They generate a lot of pressure with their front four, and Bahktiari and Bulaga could have trouble with the speed of Jerry Hughes and Mario Williams coming off the edge, especially with the crowd noise.  And Dareus and Kyle Williams are beasts in the middle.  Remember how the Giants' front four hurt the Packers in 2011.  The o-line has to keep Rodgers clean and he'll have to make quick reads and throws. 

Maybe it will snow and the game will get moved.

I see a blow out in this next game with the Falcons.   I'm not worried at all.  However, if the Packers lose another game, it will most likely be in Buffalo.  That's if they lose another game.

I actually have the Bills defense in a fantasy league and was surprised to find out that itis the #1 scoring defense (fantasy scoring) in our entire league.

 

I just think a team with an offense like the Packers would naturally be motivated to play a really good game.

That game better not get moved. Rusty and I have tickets on the Packers sideline 3 rows up!  I think I have been to 5 Packer games at the Ralph and the Bills have won them all.

I'm just worried about MM playing it vanilla in case they face the Falcons in the playoffs.

He ain't slick enough to pull off cute.

Just attack every opponent's weaknesses and keep an eye on player health.
