The Lions do look good.  The Packers are certainly capable of losing to them due to the Lions very solid Offensive Line vs our extremely poor run defense.  Being home at Lambeau will help the Pack, but it will be a pretty evenly matched game.

And, every player starting on an NFL team is a starting NFL player.  The current Georgia team (or any college team) probably doesn't even have 22 roster spots, let alone starters.  It wouldn't even be close.  The Texans would obliterate Georgia. So would the Bears, the Broncos, the Colts and Cards, every one of them.

Georgia probably has more than 22 current players on their roster that will play in the NFL. If you look at 4 consecutive draft classes for some of these powerhouse college teams, there are several that have averaged 5-6 top three round picks every year (which you assume are often starters).

Some of these teams have more future NFL talent than many NFL teams have current talent, but they just aren't mature enough. But these SEC teams like Alabama, LSU, and Georgia and Ohio State are often LOADED.

Some examples

Alabama has had 37 players drafted in the last 4 years. 15 have been 1st round picks. A team composed of just former Alabama players from the last 4 years would be very competitive.

2022, 7 players drafted (Rounds 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5)

2021. 10 players drafted (Rounds 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 6)

2020. 10 players drafted (Rounds 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3)

2019. 10 players drafted (Rounds 1, 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7)

LSU has had 31 guys drafted the last 4 years. At one point they had Justin Jefferson, J. Chasse, Joe Burrow, Devin White, Edwards-Helaire, etc. on the same team).

Georgia had 15 guys drafted this year and 40 over the last 4 years.
