Georgia should have had only 13 . Everybody says Gutey has no idea what to do drafting.
Yep, Georgia and Alabama and others in the past have had 4-year cycles of a lot of draft picks. How many draft picks make teams? How many of those make the gameday active? How many of those actually play significant minutes and/or start? And most, how many of those draft picks/first rounders have an impact in their first season?
Any NFL defense would confuse the hell out of any Georgia QB. And NFL offenses would toy with Georgia's D. I can't believe anyone would think otherwise.
Last year Georgia had 14 players drafted. Most of them don't even play or get significant minutes, let alone start. Many of them will over time, but not this season after minicamps, TCs, and weekly practices with NFL players and coaches. What makes anyone think a team of all college players (not even all seniors) would compete????
There's a huge leap from HS to college. And just a bigger leap, IMO, from college to the pros.
Letβs simplify this comparison.

Every game now is a subtle reminder of how many mediocre teams are bunched into the middle fighting for their playoff lives, and it makes the 5-8 Packers even more disappointing. There's nothing remotely special about NYG or Wash, and we lost decisively to both.
If Stetson is starting Iβm picking any NFL team over Ga.
Wonder how the College All-Stars beat the defending World Champion Green Bay Packers in 1963? π (I realize things were considerably different for a number of reasons back then.)
Hornung suspended. And the All-Stars were all drafted NFL players who had been seniors the year before. They were not by any definition a college team .
Good outcome brewing tonight. Some would rather have the Giants lose because they think it's harder for them to win @Bandwagon Franchise and @Eagles... but I believe they are going to blow out the Banwagoners.
It's much more likely the Commanders lose @49ers and Cowboys.
Let's get shit done tomorrow night and make a run. As things are looking... it would be Packers @Bandwagoners in the Wild Card round and nothing would be sweeter...

I would tend to agree. Cleveland would be hard too.
Joe Barry calling in plays for Giants?
Heinicke throws ugly, but somehow a lot of them make it there.
Meanwhile I think Daniel Jones got a barber referral from Mark Davis.
Redskinsβ¦oopsβ¦.lose on a pass interference not called. Dude was draped all over receiver with 2 arms. Sorry Danny!
NFLFU to the commanders.

Dude was trying to get a piggyback ride. They scored a td on a previous play but called a penalty for a receiver not lined up on line of scrimmage.
The fix is in?
Watching that last play between the Cheatriots/Raiduhs makes me think the fix is in. Throw a lateral to an opposing player? WTH was that?
That was all the farther his noodle arm could throw it.
What was everyone so jazzed about? I've seen that exact play many times. Middle school recess pickup game.
The only problem with the stupid play is it was at the end of regulation. You could still win in overtime.
Didn't any of the NE players look at the scoreboard before the play and realize, "If we don't score, we just go to OT"? Why in the heck were they tossing the ball around on the last play of regulation like it was recess and the bell was about to ring?
Oh, Billy B., how the mighty have fallen...
Didnβt GBFanForLife just say the same thing?

If you were twice as smart, you'd be a wit.
In the land of the witless the halfwit is king
So, Jalen got hurt?
On a running play?
You don't say!
When your QB is better at running than staying in the pocket and passing... you have RGIII redux.
I don't know that Jalen is better at running than passing from the pocket. It's pretty even from what I've seen. Now Bustin Fields on the other hand...
I have yet to see Hurt make all the throws. I think he can, but what I usually see is him going downfield. I don't know if it's the plays called or what, but I see him like 60-40 maybe on passing to running. And after looking it up, he ran 17 times last week vs. 37 passes.
Yeah, he ran a lot last week. Seems like about a 50/50 proposition that he has more than or less than 10 rushing attempts in a game. I think over time you will see those rushing attempts settle down some like any athletic QB that also trusts his arm. If you want longevity in this league as a QB you need to pick your spots when you use your legs.
11 were called run plays, 7 scrambles. I would bet that ratio gets changed.
Only if they want to keep Hurts healthy...
That's a lot of scrambles in addition to the called runs. Guys not getting open? Him not seeing them or going through progressions? Dumb coaches? I don't get to see Philly play often...
