Has Cavetoad retired from thread starting Badger games?
I know Mertz had issues last game with turnovers but I don't blamer this one on him.

There's been a noticeable lack of energy for the Badgers both today and against Northwestern. Can't blame them given the circumstances.
But most of the time, if a guy comes free, it’s the QBs fault.

They were not going to be an 11 win team in a normal year (the RBs just aren't good enough at this point), but they are better than they've shown.
What a questionable coverage scheme. Playing 15 yards off in that situation couldn't have been what was called.
Completely blown coverage by the Badgers DBs on 2 of the last 3 plays.

I'd agree that Mertz should at least have awareness of the free guy coming free and protect the ball there. The RT got fooled on who to block, but you are right, a guy coming from the QBs side of vision shouldn't cause a fumble like that.

This team...not good so far. Mertz really looks to have regressed, I suppose not hard when things are so sporadic with COVID-19.
hard to watch. Defense is sure looking lackluster.
Really need to get the run game going... Mertz isn’t reading the defenses well enough to turn the game over to him and let him loose.

Mertz does look like he's regressed. It's both poor throws from a physical perspective and some missed reads.
Needed 7, there... but a good drive to give the D a chance to regroup. Need to start ramping up the physicality. Set a tougher tone...

That’s the doubt that the Northwestern game showing. He made mistakes, and now he’s not sharp. Questioning... second guessing... the true enemy of the QB position is confidence.

How do you get a flag on a kickoff that you know if likely to go out of the end zone? The last Indiana kickoff was a wedge alignment penalty which is another penalty that should never happen. This offsides is only 5 yards, but just a lack of concentration.
Now the defense has to get back to back stops.
This is like the Paskers pass rush against backup QBs
No pass rush and with that time guys are going to get open against zone.
Then no physicality handling the run on some plays.
They’re getting their asses handed to them right now... score may not show it, but they’re getting physically pushed around.

All I can think of when hearing the name Tuttle is that MASH episode where they made up a fake soldier named Tuttle.
