There's a game on tonight?
Who knew?
I'm waiting for Bartman to make an appearance in the 7th game of the WS
It's better than NASCAR, but then so it a colonoscopy with a 35mm lens.

The Cubs are the only Chitcago team I can root for. But I am not sure that we can dare to think that they can win it all.
Go Cubs!!!!!
I'm a White Sox fan, though I'm transplanted and thus don't have the bred in hate for the Cubs. It's playoff time and having 5/6 quality starters no longer means anything. 2 guys can get you to the promised land.
I figured Toronto and Chicago to stroll into the WS because they both have above average pitching to balance outstanding offense. But Cleveland's bullpen has impressed, especially their willingness and ability to throw off speed strikes no matter what the count. The Bluejays are expecting to tee off on 3-2 fastballs but they're getting curves instead. Now with Kluber up, their only good starter, this could be the knockout blow.

Amid the excitement of the Cubs' playoff drive, a feud is brewing between the team and Charlotte Hornets forward Frank Kaminsky, a Lisle native and die-hard Chicago White Sox fan.
Kaminsky showed up at Monday night's preseason game against the Bulls wearing a custom "Bartman 44" Cubs jersey.
I innately despise anything chitcago so go dodgers.
Rooting for the Indians.
Curious if Lucroy is second guessing not taking that trade to Cleveland.
All you people rooting for the Cubs can go to hell.
Trust me, there will not be a more obnoxious group of fans in the history of sports than Cubs fans when they win the World Series.
Think about a mash up of the "oh woe is me BS, we've waited for this forever" of Red Sox fans with the smugness of Duke Baketball fans and they entitled noxious holier than thou attitude of Notre Dame football fans.
Think about that? Horrible. Like I'd rather drink a tumbler full of mercury than be in the same room as that person horrible, right?
Now multiply that guy by 1000x. And put a Old Style in their hand.
EXPLETIVE the Cubs.
Here's the ranking of teams to root for in the post season.
1. Indians.
2. Dodgers
3. Blue Jays
4. Being hit by a car

The correct answer here is actually "The Blackhawks".
I'm pulling for C Town because it's tough not to like Terry Francona as he is the anti La Russia. Plus, if the Indians can win it all so can the Brewers.
Toronto is like so Canadian - so can't root for them. LAD haven't been fresh since Fernandomania and the Cubs? Have to agree with CA. Somehow they won't be as "gracious" as the Red Saux and my man crush on Kaminsky just got better.

108 years of pent up obnoxiousness will do that. The Cubs winning the world series could have a positive side affect. In their celebration they could burn the city to the ground. Just think of all the barbed wire and fencing that will save.
I can not imagine what it would be like living in Wisconsin for the next year if the Scrubbies win the World Series and the Viqueens win the Super Bowl.
That might be a reason to move to Canada.
Hmmmmmmm I might have to rethink my rooting for the Cubs. MY Frankie Kaminsky hates em......
Dodgers winning game 3, 4-0. That would put the Dodgers up 2 games to 1. And with the power outage in the Cubs lineup, maybe we better put the fear of the Cub fans celebrating or moving out of the country on hold.

We probably won't have to worry about either but I'd say the Cubs are a lot closer than the Vikings are.
I'm an Asshole!!!!

I thought we had a forum for Juicer Ball.
70 years from now the Cubs and Vikings will start their own two team league to ensure someone wins a championship. The season will culminate with the Super Series. Unfortunately neither team will ever qualify for the playoffs.
I'd maybe kind of like to care more, but my only thought is how quickly the Cubs fans would turn in to Bulls/Patriots fans even after a single Series win.

despise the Blackhawks...GO Redwings.....and Go Cubs!!!!
I grew up in a suburb outside Chicago. I lived there during the '85 Bears. I don't hate the Bears. I was a big baseball fan up until about 5-6 years ago, haven't paid much attention this year, besides knowing the Cubs had a good squad, and young players. I'm rooting for the Cubs, and I think I will probably make a trip to Chitown next weekend, if they make it to the WS, just to see the **** show of Wrigleyville. BTW- tix for SRO are starting at 5K.
Oh oh! Cubs up 3-2. Now what???
Call the Bartman Dude.
Even he can't screw this up......I think.
Cubs are in the series.....now what????
I was a kid in the late 60's...my first memory was the neighborhood kid who told me the Braves were moving to Atlanta in March 1966....I didn't know how to pronounce the city besides WHERE this place was as I was just starting to understand the game.
So, I became a White Sox fan because they came up to Milwaukee to play some games (which my uncle would take me to)....and then also a Cubs fan because their game were ALWAYS during the day at home and my friends an I would play a mock whiffle ball game while listening to Lou Boudreau on the radio calling the game...in fact, I can still recall their everyday line=up that season...what a summer...Summer of 69...what a summer....if only at 10 I had known what that had meant in small town Wisconsin....an older friend was a Mets fan for some strange reason and kept needling me all summer....crap...I hated him....
but I digress.....once the Brewers came....I had forgotten about the Cubs completely...weird.

Can't root for the Cubs after what that city did to Bartman. That 30 for 30 was hard to watch.
Full disclosure....
When I was a kid listening to Jack Brickhouse & watching guys like Dave Kingman, Bobby Murcer, Mike Vail, Larry Biitner, Bill Buckner. Sure they sucked. But they were fun to watch & baseball was a great game then.
I remember the 23-22 loss to the Phillies. Look it up. What a game!
My Great Aunt. HUGE Cub fan until she died at 99 years young.
When they cancelled the World Series & Playoffs in early 90's. I told baseball to go **** itself.
McGuire & Sosa. That year was magical. Roids or not. I loved it. So did other people as evidenced by a lot of fans coming back to the ballpark.
Fast forward to today. I really don't give a $hit who wins. It's funny that we see Cleveland vs. Chicago though. One of these "lovable losers" has to win it all.

Most of my time in Chi was during the Brickhouse era.
"Hey Hey, that one's out on Waveland Avenue!"
Also got to see a couple of Packers/Bears games at Wrigley.
I'm 68, for years I worked with a born and bred Cubs fan, I would guess he is now about 80. He always said that he COULD not die until the Cubs won it all. I have lost contact with him but for his sake I hope the Cubs can do it and he can die in peace
Go Cubs and heres to Ken P on the North Side.
