I'm extremely disappointed. This season was not a successful season. Had we lost on Championship Sunday I might've said the season was successful. Only 1 team can win it all & I understand that.

A completely wasted 15-1 season. Ridiculous
Crap ass end of the season. 15-1 is a great, great season. But today we really aided in the defeat of ourselves. Turnovers + Drops + **** Protection + Bad Pass Rush = Loss.

As for the fire MM thread.. please, even im not that distorted. 15-1 was a great season and should be acknowledged. We cant win the big prize every year, lets not start over reacting.
We had a bad game. Nothing more nothing less. When you go to the playoffs as much as the Packers/Steelers/Patriots you're bound to have some tough ones. Get another chance next year and in a weird way makes last year even a little more special.
I don't know where to start. Oh, alright, I guess its the end, not the start. I have never been more disappointed by a Packers loss in my life and I think with the exception of Driver I think that the blame can go around eveywhere.

Oh well, honestly its just football and tomorrows another day and if the weather stays cold I can go ice fishing next Sunday. Oh shoot, I have to coach my kids basketball game. Can't I catch a break.

I feel like after losing to the Cowboys...again. The Broncos loss was a whole nother level.
As I said in another thread a few weeks back, every year some team has to win the Super Bowl. It's a really special team that can win two in a row.

I didn't want this team to be a fart in the wind. Frowner Mad

Oh no, it's much worse. At least they were competitive in that game, and the Broncos didn't spend the week before the game talking about how they definitely were going to beat the Packers. Having a 9-7 team that gave up 400+ points in the regular season come into your stadium and punch your 15-1 team in the mouth is far worse.
Classic example of a team playing at the top of it's game and a team that really had nothing to play for since October. Anybody who didn't have a gut feeling this would be a loss is fooling themselves. Defense was a fail like it has been all year and the offense, for once, couldn't bail them out, and, for the first time...failed.

I heart you.

I'm at peace with this year---wasn't meant to be, whatcha gonna do?
Seems like things always average out.Last year we scraped our way into the playoff at 10-6 and 6th seed. How many guys on the IR 15 ? Then run the table beat the top 3 seeds and win it all. This year 15-1, 1st seed, bye week, healthy team coming into the postseason, all the stars and planets aligned. And then fall flat on our face in the divisional round. Kudos to the Giants today but we also beat ourselves and here we are. This game is just like all our other playoff loses we endured after SB31 to winning SB45. It part of what we have to experience before we see the Pack win it all again.

Last year, Our defense was much better. I think our defense was rated #2 overall. This year the defense ranked 32 overall. Not good. I kinda knew the defense would ruin the playoffs.
Really ironic how last year it was this same Gints team blowing the game against the Iggles to let the Packers get in the tourney. I guess it's karma that it's the Gints that sent this season down the tubes.

Really, 15-1 was an amazing season. We were living on the edge all year with this defense; we were al lhoping that somehow the ship would get righted. I guess the loss of Collins and Jenkins, and Woodson getting older completely changed the chemistry.

I hope I never again hear how it's a great advantage to have a bye and HFA.

But this week I'm a Niner fan.

Im torn, I think I'd like to see Alex Smith get that monkey off his back, but at the same time.. Tom Coughlin is a good man and coach..

We seemed like ATL of last year out there today. Nothing went right.
The offense just crapped a big one.

It happens, but it hurts. The offense laid one heck of a huge egg.

Defense? The hail mary and the play before it was HUGE.

But, the offense just did not play adequate playoff football.
I'm more pissed that the Giants own us in our own stadium. Two playoff losses to the Giants at Lambeau because they handled the cold better and were more physical.

Might as well call it MetLife Stadium when the Giants come for the playoffs.

Did you know the Packers are the first team in NFL history to go 15-1 and lose the first round of the playoffs?

jus sayin'
The hail mary was brutal. Letting the Giants run for 25 yards to set up the hail Mary when they are simply trying to burn the last 20 seconds of the half and get to the locker room is worse.
Despite the final margin, it wouldn't have taken that much to turn it around. The Rodgers strip was a split-second away from a touchdown and a tie, assuming normal execution of the throw and catch. They would have been tied several times in the second half if the D had just closed out the first half properly. Woulda, shoulda, coulda. Sucks, but I guess I am in a minority in thinking that a disappointing playoff loss doesn't invalidate a great regular season.
