Crew still 2-0 after 5
3-2 Royals going to the top of the 8th.
The Brewers were 8-3 when Yelich was playing.
They are 12-11 since he was hurt. 500 is still better than expected without Burnes, Woodruff, Miley, and D. Williams, but the cracks are starting to show.
they always do
disappointing loss.
Game 2. Top of 2nd Crew up 2-0 after 2 home runs, no outs still batting.
Yuck, Crew gives up 4 runs in bottom of the 5th. Now down 4-2 in top of 6th.
Now 5 - 3 top 9th. get some runs or lose. Due up, Perkins, Monesterio, Contreras and maybe Sanchez.
Perkins ground out. Monasterio pops out. Contreras doubles, Sanchez walks and Adames Hits a 3 run homer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6 - 5 Brewers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Megill pitches a 1 2 3 9th. Brewers win!!!
That was a really needed win.
Come from behind wins are great. Satisfying win tonight.

It's going to suck if they trade him at the deadline.
I think it will depend on where the Crew are in the standings and the health of the pitching staff.

Miley and Woodruff are out for the year. Williams and Janis are out at least another month. I don't see much opportunity for the health of the pitching staff to improve other than DL Hall getting off the DL in a few weeks.
The only way the rotation improves is if Gasser comes up and is ready to become a solid starter.

If they are still in the chance to make the playoffs they may make some trades for starting pitching. And if they have no chance at the playoffs this year they may make some trades to build for the future. But if the pitching is playing as they are now they may stand pat and hope for the best.
Royals clearly don't think Yelich is ready for action yet. They just intentionally walked the potential lead run (Contreras) to put guys on 1st and 2nd to get to Yelich with two outs in the 7th.

And the strategy works as Yelich strikes out.
Crew goes on to lose 6-4. Yelich also had a bad at bat in the 9th to end it when there was a chance a good hit could have tied it.
After McArthur struggled last night Contreras hit the 2nd pitch and Yelich hit the 1st. What the hell?
Too eager to play hero ball and hit a HR. I'm a firm believer in "Make the bitch pitch" to get a good read and get the pitch you want, while also wearing down the pitcher.
