I think it will depend on where the Crew are in the standings and the health of the pitching staff.

Miley and Woodruff are out for the year. Williams and Janis are out at least another month. I don't see much opportunity for the health of the pitching staff to improve other than DL Hall getting off the DL in a few weeks.

The only way the rotation improves is if Gasser comes up and is ready to become a solid starter.

It's going to suck if they trade him at the deadline.

Yelich activated and is in the line up as DH for today's afternoon game.  Tyler Black sent back down to Nashville.

If they are still in the chance to make the playoffs they may make some trades for starting pitching.   And if they have no chance at the playoffs this year they may make some trades to build for the future.  But if the pitching is playing as they are now they may stand pat and hope for the best.

Royals clearly don't think Yelich is ready for action yet. They just intentionally walked the potential lead run (Contreras) to put guys on 1st and 2nd to get to Yelich with two outs in the 7th.

And the strategy works as Yelich strikes out.
