Why not keep Yuni at 1 and give Bianchi the start at 2nd? I really don't understand Ronald at all.

Even when he does something right by giving Weeks a day off, he manages to make me scratch my head.

Hey, Bianchi and Gonzalez are scrubs, so....
Tuesday Lineup:

RF Norichika Aoki
SS Jean Segura
LF Ryan Braun
3B Aramis Ramirez
CF Carlos Gomez
1B Yuniesky Betancourt
2B Rickie Weeks
C Martin Maldonado
P Kyle Lohse

I've stared at it for five minutes and can't find anything to complain about.

Go Crew!
It's a nice luxery to be able to drop Weeks in the lineup and not suffer at the top. They have two truly effective 1 and 2 hitters. The lineup has finally outgrown Weeks at the top.

With Ramirez back and Hart also by the end of the month, I like what I am seeing.
Retweet from beat writer Todd Rosiak just a few minutes ago:

RT @MikeVassallo13 : C/1B Blake Lalli has been optioned to Triple-A @nashvillesounds . RHP Francisco Rodriguez to be selected from Nashville …
Actually, the Ax wasn't too bad on Tuesday night.

Walker led off with a jam job, duck snort single to the opposite field.

He struck out Alvarez.

Martin got a Double but Segura's relay throw would have had Walker at home but he air-mailed his throw high and down the 1st baseline clear to the screen. Ax's pitch was perfectly placed where Maldy was sitting up. If Martin had let the pitch go, Maldy wouldn't have had to even move his mitt. The problem was that Maldy set up middle in on the plate, instead of wanting the pitch to be above Martin's hands.

Ax then got Barmes to ground out to 3rd and then struck out Snider to end the inning.

Should have 2 hits in the inning with ZERO runs.
I would buy that, if that inning was an anomaly.

Maybe it was an anomaly, no one hit a home run.

Ax is a good guy and I want to cheer for him. He throws perfect heat for a closer and has been effective in the past. The problem is he is wearing Parra's glove, hat and shoes when he pitches. Until he gets right, he is a liability and should not be used in high leverage situations.
Sure seems like a typical pre-Mark Anntanasio season. The team underperforms and is out of it by Memorial Day.

There is still time to turn things around but this is looking more and more like a lost season.
