They just need to survive and advance - or at least maintain their playoff position.  4 seed or better would be ideal to get a home slot in R1.  I doubt they can catch the top 3.

They just need to stay in the top 6. An extra home game in Round 1 would be nice, but it's not like the Pacers or Pistons (currently 4th and 6th right now) would scare me. The Knicks (3#) are also a much better matchup for them now that they have Porter Jr. and Kuzma as wing defenders.

I hate to say it given the domestic violence incident that Porter Jr. has been linked to, but getting Porter Jr. for Beauchamp is like getting free money. Porter Jr. has done more to contribute to these last 3 wins than Beauchamp contributed to wins his entire time as a Buck.

Also, Sims is a tremendous defensive player. Getting him for Wright is also a nice trade. He's switchable on almost everyone. He can't shoot at all, but he's a better option right now than Jackson Jr. (who also can't shoot, but doesn't give you the rim protection Sims does).

Horst has screwed up a lot recently, but getting Sims and Porter Jr. and giving up nothing that was going to contribute were good moves, even if nothing else happens from here on out. They probably don't win any of these last 3 games without making those moves.

Porter Jr has always had elite level talent.  He was a 5 star guy coming out of high school but had injury and personal issues his one and only year at USC.

Guy was a 1st round pick but honestly with more development he could have easily have been a lottery pick.

His last few years in Houston he was a 15-20PPG guy.

I don’t like for one moment that he’s kind of of a scumbag, but clearly he’s got skills and can play and contribute at this level.  He’s a significant upgrade over Marlon Beauchamp.
