Holiday and DDV are upgrades over Bledsoe and Matthews.  Like significant upgrades.

Obviously they lose something defensively with no George Hill but offensively Augustin and Forbes can hold their own.

I’ll be honest- I really like Jordan Nwora... he has a very good offensive game. Natural stroke. Once he knows defense- even if he isn’t a great defender- he could be every bit as good offensively as Porter Jr.

Nagler crying about too many NBA Tweets

I had to go DEEEP! to find a stream.

Get used to an up and down Bucks team this year. These guys know the regular season means little. They will turn it on in the playoffs and during big games.

Well fuck, that’s all they’ve been hearing from everyone since they lost in the playoffs...

YouTube TV also on the outs with Sinclair? Same with Hulu TV.

My understanding is Sinclair on the outs with every streaming service.  Only available on cable and AT & T service.

I gotta think the dam has to burst soon for Sinclair, they are awash in red ink from acquiring the RSN's from Fox.  Almost half the subscribers where on streaming services.

I can limp through the NBA season, but come baseball time....

The addition of Holiday and keeping DDV could pay huge dividends if the Bucks end up playing Miami again in the playoffs.

Holiday abused and toyed with Herro early in the game and while he got his points it was later on in garbage time when the game was well out of hand.   Same thing with Middleton and Duncan Robinson.   Middleton got his shot pretty much whenever he wanted.

Bledsoe gets a lot of the blame (maybe unfairly) but you see this with Holiday that if you don’t check him he’s going to shoot and score pretty much at will.  Last year Miami could devote 5 guys to defending 4 Bucks (basically) using Bam as a rover on the weak side D while Butler could guard the perimeter.  Heck, there were times Matthews couldn’t shoot so it was like 5 on 3 defense.

You can’t do that now and with DDV shooting the way he is you’ve now flipped the matchup against Miami to your favor.  The only watch out is the Bucks are giving up size and some offensive rebounds which could hurt them against skilled bigs like Tatum and Embiid or other teams that have more traditional front court players.

I expect Miami to come out and play better tonight but the Heat maybe aren’t quite as scary anymore.

Yeah well..... they didn't have Butler either. Sooo.....taking it as an early season nice win. Nothing more.... nothing less. Cool to get the 3's record!

Butler is the straw that stirs the drink for the Heat.  He sets the tone and certainly would have made life more difficult on either Middleton or DDV.  But I doubt it changes that much.  Bucks still win that game by 20+ because of the way Milwaukee played defense and obviously hit their shots.

Miami has to feel a bit down for a number of reasons.  Giannis won’t be joining them, and Holiday (and probably DDV) are going to give them fits because Miami doesn’t match up well with them if those two play well.  Middleton already had their number.   And all of this despise Giannis not playing a good game. So yes, if I’m Pat Riley I’m quickly coming to the conclusion this isn’t the 2019/2020 Bucks anymore.

Lol

Or as Delante West once said to a rookie on Cleveland - caught on audio for the Jim Rome Show

“I don’t care if you have to fly! Planes, trains and automobiles.  Better have my do-nuts!!”

They’re not moving enough. There’s no off-ball action to get guys into rhythm. Catch and shoot off drive and kick is ok, but you’re not making them work very hard on D. Then they’re good to go blast 20 threes on you...
