He wants out. Monroe is an expiring deal. After the Melo trade, the market is low for stars who want out. If you want Telly/Delly then give us Chandler. They’d both be welcome in Milwaukee.

Get it done, John...

Pipe dream of a deal. I am sure Suns want Brogden, Telly or Delly, and a 1st or 2

I wouldn't trade Brogdon straight up for Bledsoe. Brogdon has a lot of Shane Battier in him. His contributions are more than the primary stats show.

I'd give them Delly and two #1s. As long as Giannis is healthy, they aren't seeing the lottery again any time soon.

Suns f-ing themselves - Bucks offering either Monroe/Henson + Delly + pick, and they balk. The longer they wait the less they get. They’re not getting a top player. Best they get is salary relief and a late pick.

So now that this deal is done, the possibilities sure get interesting. The NBA  has (kinda) devolved to one guy breaking down their guy with 4 shooters on the floor. The Bucks were getting nowhere with Monroe in the post. It bottled the paint and made it a lot easier to defend Giannis.

So now you get shooters on the floor and let Bledsoe create. Giannis can slash. When Parker comes back, he can do it all (assuming he can still move like Jabari).

It doesn’t solve the defensive issues and rebounding, but they won’t have the scoring droughts. Plus- will there be a more dangerous team in transition? I don’t think so...

Got a look at what Bledsoe can bring to the Bucks tonight against the Spurs and I like it.  There were a few missed connections but his ability to penetrate and dish is going to help a lot in the half court offense.

Bledsoe is the best PG they have had since Cassell. In a lot of ways he is better. You saw in one night the whole team elevate their level of play. They beat a damn good team on their home floor.

And they are just tapping this half-barrel...

Not sure I would say they have closed the gap with GS but I do think they are now in a position to advance deep into the playoffs.   They get Parker back after the holidays and this is a legit EC contender as teams can no longer just focus on Giannis. Should be fun to watch and we got a glimpse of what they can be last night.  San Antonio doesn't lose at home and the Bucks took it to them.

Let me rephrase- the gap isn’t closed, but they have closed the gap. They’re not on GS’s level. They’re back in the mix in the EC, when their perennial weaknesses were being exposed again.

The gap can close even further once we know what is left of Jabari Parker. A video posted this week showed that he’s getting close. And he still looks like he’s the same Jabari athletically, or at least close. So the Bucks version of the death lineup (Bledsoe, Brogdon, Middleton, Parker, Giannis at the 5) is an actual reason to be excited.

Mike Redd was on Garnett’s tv thing this week- he said the only thing they need now is experience. Giannis is 22... Parker 22... Brogdon 24... Maker 20... Middleton 26... Bledsoe 27... even Henson is 26.

Follow the Warriors’ progression- 12-13, playoff team, Curry takes a step forward. 13-14, Curry in his 5th season takes bigger step, 50 win season. 14-15 and the win it all as Thompson and Green come of age.

The Bucks are in year two of that cycle- and Giannis will be a bigger star than Curry when it’s all said and done.

I like the enthusiasm but unless The Greek Freak starts dropping half-courters on a nightly basis, I think Curry might be a little bigger world wide. At least for the next 2-3 years minimum.

Loved the game vs. The Spurs.

I've heard reports that Parker looks pretty good right now.   Not sure when he will be cleared but I would be shocked if he's not playing after the holidays.  Early thinking was some time in February but barring a setback I think he's back sooner rather than later.

Golden State is the team to beat but the Bucks need to focus on taking a step this year.  That means winning a playoff series.  I think they are capable of making it to the Eastern conference finals but a lot depends on team health which has not been consistent.  Stay healthy and I expect a big step forward this year.

As for better than Curry, I'm not sure he's the best player on his own team (Durant is).   But if he can develop his outside shot Giannis has the talent to be the best in the league.

He doesn’t need to be a 3 point gunner. He needs to be a competent shooter, sure. But his game is the use of his length. Teams scheme entirely to prevent him from getting in the lane and they can’t stop it. He’s gotten so strong that he is bullying guys now. It’s scary.

ANd I  truly believe Giannis will be a bigger star than Curry. I never said he already is...

From a global perspective it's possible that Giannis is already the biggest star in the league.  The NBA casts a huge net across the globe and right now 34 is very recognizable to just about everyone.

From a marketing standpoint it's a fantastic position for the Bucks as a "small market team" to have a guy like Giannis on the roster.  The Bucks are building something very exciting and if they can turn the potential into sustained success the sky is the limit for this team.

Bledsoe is a difference maker. Bucks were really limping along on D and O- he sets the table. Big kudos to Tony Snell as well- Tyreke Evans has 12 points in the 4th before Snell came back in at about 6 minutes- not another basket after. Bucks gave up 65 in the first half- 38 in the second.

Nice to see them step up on defense in the 2nd half. Liggins and Snell can play D and Bledsoe really limited Conley.

But ultimately, a guy Ive been very hard on won this game. John Henson....what the **** was that. Is he finally getting it ? Maybe he realizes his chances are running low. More of that please.

I know one thing- the ability to defend opposing Gs helps the interior players defend the paint. When a C has to help, it opens up a myriad of weaknesses- open man to the basket, interior rebounding position, inside to outside secondary passing, holes for wings to cut in...

When you defend the G position and prevent penetration the interior guys get to stay home.

Gary Woelful was on the radio this morning and he's speculating that the reason Henson is getting featured as much as he is might be due to showcasing him for a trade.  If that's the strategy it might work as he's looked pretty good the last couple of games.

This team is developing into a really intriguing group.  It's amazing what Bledsoe has done in terms of playmaking and attitude and toughness. Brogdon coming off the bench gives them a real boost and I love the defensive energy from Snell and LIggins.

I actually watched most of the Spurs and Lakers and Grizz games and this is a really fun team to follow.   Barring injuries this team has a real shot to advance out of the East.  They are forming an identity but just need more experience.

This is a perfect scenario for Brogdon. He’s the playmaker on the second unit- and he should win most of the time. Meanwhile he can make mistakes and learn on the job and still play a lot of 4Q minutes and learn there too. He’ll be good in that role.

Hendon’s +\- is one of the best on the team. Maker’s not ready- he’ll also get a chance to learn on the second unit. By the time he’s ready, Henson’s deal will be done.

Bledsoe again proves his worth- 7 monster points in the final minute. He almost has a triple double, and 6 Bucks in double figures.

Defense was huge, especially in the third Q when they went 34-21. 16 blocked shots.

Great team win tonight- winning down the stretch is something they did when they got hot last year and saved their season. Imagine how devastating their 2nd unit will be with Parker added to it...

I am in Milwaukee visiting and watched the game at my cousin's house.

First Bledsoe.  I am thrilled.  I think one of the most interesting characteristics is the extent to which an athlete plays better when it matters most.  Call it having the clutch gene.  He's got it.  He totally has it.  He just emanates this swagger.  You could also see it in the post-game interview.

From what I saw, the Buck's biggest problems are consistent outside shooting and a reliable half court offense (realizing overlap here, of course).  For stretches, the outside shooting was pretty bad and the half court sets sometimes even resorted to whomever had the ball trying to do the best he could as the shot clock wound down.

Other problems a sometime drop in defensive intensity and perimeter defense.

But, there is a lot this team does well.  Just so long.  Their defense is so disruptive.  Their offense is often above the rim and wreaking havoc close to the basket.

By the way, I haven't see a lot of actual game, but has Henson's game seriously improved?  Losing Monroe may be a silver lining for more than one reason.  It does give Henson and Maker more minutes.

I like the thought of the second unit when Parker is back.  Maker, Parker, Brogdon, and whomever else.

Man, is there ever reason for optimism!

What was clear to me is Detroit does not match up well at all v the Bucks.  I was actually surprised the game was as close as it was.  Nice to see the D step up and make it tough on the Pistons.

I also love the fact that KG is "consulting" with this team especially Maker and Giannis.  You could see the emotion and intensity.

Henson is benefiting from improved defense at the G position. Everyone they trot out there now can defend- Bledsoe, Brogdon, Snell, Middleton, even Delly and especially Liggins.

Henson had his hands full last night, but most teams don’t have Drummond at C. When the Bucks start playing conference games it’ll get easier. The Bucks will block a lot of shots...

I don't watch as much NBA as I used to.  Kidd should be fired because an average coach with the Freak could wreck the NBA

Right now they are positioned in the 4th spot in the East- about what was expected coming into this season.   I did not expect Boston to be this good without Hayward but I expect them to cool off somewhat the rest of the way.

Kidd probably deducts 5-6 wins a year with his coaching.  If Popovich were leading this squad they probably win 60.

If you do watch a game instead of just the Gianni's highlights, you will be amazed by some of the defensive rotations. Stupefying.

I'm still amazed that Gianni's is putting up the numbers he is. The guy still has no outside shot...a testament to his work ethic and ability to work inside. If he ever gets his shot going he will be nearly unstoppable.
