A tad nervous......
My guess is the winning streak ends today, although I didn't give them much of a shot either when they played at Kohl.
So far so good. Up 10-5 at the 1st TV time out.
Iverson is a offensive nothingburger
Khalil Iverson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
slammmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaa jammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmaaaaaa
Tied at the half. Time for the usually good halftime adjustments from Gard.
Good position foul wise and they are playing well....ditto for the Michiganders. Buckle up.
Would be spanking Mich, but only shooting 1 for 7 from behind the arc
at the half
#7 Mich 27
#19 BUCKY 27
Happ to the bench with 3 fouls
Someone needs to step up....
Bucky hanging in there , with both Happ and Davidson on the bench.
Mich up 4 at the 9:13 mark
At the half CBS talked about the Tourney Selection Committee's top 4 seeds in each bracket. And there were the Badgers at #16. They are the #4 seed in the Midwest with Virginia, Kentucky and Houston ahead of them in the bracket. And Michigan, MSU and Purdon't were also in the top 16. And before anyone says that doesn't mean anything 13 of the 16 in 2017 remained in the top 16 and in 2018 15 of 16 remained on selection Sunday. And no team in either year dropped below a 5 seed.
Just win baby
Trice?
Not a good finish from Bucky.

Yep, those last 3 minutes they looked like they had blinders on.
still a pretty good effort by Bucky.
UW went 1 for 6 over their last 6 possessions, with one offensive turnover.
Happ picking up his 3rd foul early in the second half and having to sit 10 minutes was the difference. They stayed in it without him, but it's a different team when he's in there. Despite the loss, you have to like the fact it was a one possession game under 3 minutes with Happ only playing 26 minutes.
Also Davidson picking up his 3rd on a blocking call shortly after Happ went out and having to sit on what was an obvious charge.
Pritzl and Ford really need to step up their game. In 16 minutes Pritzl had 1 shot, a miss and 1 rebound. That is not enough effort. And Ford in 13 minutes had 2 misses, zero points and zero rebounds. Again, not good enough.
And the Badgers next opponent, MSU clobbered Minnysoda 79-55 at MSU.

Pritzl is a 22 year old redshirt junior. He is what he is at this point. He'll be back next year, play his 8-10 minutes a game and stretch a defense in spurts. He'll never be able to handle the ball well enough to get heavy minutes at guard and he's a defensive liability.
Ford still has a chance.
That sums it up pretty good on those 2 guys, MP2. At least Ford tries. Pritzl seems all too aware of his limitations and looks like heβs afraid of the ball.
The Badgers had only 2 free throws?

And Michigan only had 9 attempts (two in garbage time when they were up 2 possessions with under 20 seconds left).
Only 22 fouls on both teams, but the problem was that Happ and Davidson both had 3 with more than 16 minutes left in the game.
Davidson won't ever get the benifit of the doubt, so he might need to start playing that way. He drives looking for contact and isn't getting those calls and plays defense looking for charges and stripes are not giving him that either. He's a solid defender and a great shooter, love to see him focus on that.
Ford wasted minutes
Ultimately, this was a winnable game but they shit the bed in the last few minutes, starting with the bunny Happ missed. This team is pretty good, but not good enough to overcome those kind of things on the road.
Iverson also, he had 2 chances at the end and never got the ball out of his hands, add the 3 times in the first half and that equals dreadful. His 2 unopposed dunks were great but one would think he could make a contested shot once in a while, at least get fouled. And what was Trice doing when he dribbled the clock away and threw up a prayer? And why not foul with a minute left instead of wasting clock?

CBS, ( Jerry Palm ) has real time updates on his bracketology.
Little Joey Lunardi needs to step up his game at ESPN.
It would be nice if the Badgers get a 1st round game at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines .
Some in the MATRIX have Bucky on the 3 line
WOW!!! That is quite a chart skully. Thanks for posting the link. It will be something to keep checking it week to week.
Frankly, I find bracketology a month out to be about as useful as mock drafts.
Just win your games and everything will sort itself out.

Dang right.......and after today, Bucky is going to be in the NIT.

Dang it, I donβt know how to read that chart.....hope I will learn as the games go by.
Across the top are the many sites that do projected brackets. Down the left side are the teams that any of the sites that may make the tournament. All the numbers are the seedings the sites project the teams will get. Pretty easy actually.
Sagarin loves Bucky, a solid number 13, with the second hardest schedule in the nation.
Now that I've thought about it, we probably have the HARDEST schedule in the country if we didn't have to play the weenie boyz Golden Goophturds twice a year. .

You got that right. I for one don't put much thought in the opinions on things like mock drafts, bracketology, and the most useless thing of all power polls.
But bracketology does mean something. Teams tend to stay where they were slotted, or at least close, early in the process. And that is why you see upsets in the tournament. Teams started too high, remained there and then got beat by a lower seeded team. And the Badgers could be a prime example of that this season. And was probably a factor during the early Bennett years when they made the Final Four run.
