The fat kicker had already missed one kick in the game and hasn't been nails this year so yeah, you might want to throw caution to the wind and continue to move the ball.  You may still end up kicking the FG anyway but the three straight runs (that everyone in the stadium could diagnose) were dumb.  Thankfully Wisconsin was able to get the ball back and the fact kicker made that one (barely) but it doesn't change my opinion one bit.

By the way it doesn't mean I am on the "fire Chryst" bandwagon I just really did not like the conservative play calling at the end that's all.

Iowa must have felt the same way last week that we feel this week.  UW stole one on the road pure and simple but that's OK.  Makes up for some of the pain of losing the way they did last week.
A couple of other things from the game

Why Mike Reilly has this sparkling reputation as some kind of savant I have no idea.  He reminds me of Marc Trestman.  Gets a lot of publicity and kudos but man he really made some dumb decisions yesterday

For as bad as UW has been hit with injuries the Huskers have it worse.   Not that we should apologize for that but they had a lot of guys hurt.

Tanner McEvoy continues to puzzle me - the guy looks all world one week and then looks like he's never played football another week.  He really had a poor game on both sides of the ball.

I'm pretty sure I will be unwavering this year that if there is an "option b" for a chance to win the game that doesn't involve Stave throwing the ball, I'm going to take it.

If Gags continues to spill peanut butter and jelly on the ball before he kicks it, I might change my mind.

Maybe.

(lets not forget we might not see a worse secondary than Neb for the rest of the year, and Stave was still lucky that he didn't have 3 INT's)
