Mertz has ZERO field awareness. What a waste of a player.

Didn't care for the spot but agree that Mertz has to have better awareness than that.
One of the Badger DBs pulled a "Savage" on that run on 3rd and 12 to give up a first down. Dive at a guy 4 yards short of the first down and whiff entirely.
Can't allow that conversion on third and twelve.

He's gotten better with some experience, but he's still the "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" type.
I could give Leonhard a pass kn the shitty offense although he could decide to change QBs if he wanted, but his defense is really looking rough. Bad angles, bad tackling, confused on calls.
Defense didn't play that well and still only gave up ten. Mertz and the offense appears to be the biggest problem.

Not really. Wisconsin's schedule just got easier.
They beat the following teams with losing records in Big 10 play.
Northwestern (1-7), Nebraska (3-6), and Maryland (4-5).
The only win against a team with a winning records in the Big 10 was Purdue and they are 5-3.
Another undisciplined penalty. Why dive at the guys knees like that on the opposite side of the play?

I guess I meant it as a rhetorical question. No matter the record and the remaining time today I don’t think I will wake up next September and be confident in Jimmy L being the guy. Hope he can do it.

If Engram cuts back to the middle of the field against the pursuit at the end, he may have scored.
