So we are only a few days left until the start of the college football season and we have UW vs. the all might Tide this Saturday.  So what are your thoughts on this one?  Does Bucky even stand a chance and should they just stay in Madison to save everyone watching it?  Danny Kannel said today he doesn't think there is any chance UW even scores a point on the mighty Bama D.

If not for the health of the offensive line, I think that Bucky would have a very legitimate shot of the upset.  If they are unable to run the ball against Bama's D, it could make for a long night.  However, I do think that Alabama will struggle to move it against Wisconsin's D, which should be better than last year.  Overall, I think it will be a low scoring game, potentially decided by turnovers.  However, I have to admit that I pretty much agree with Blair that I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worst.

Joel Stave versus a Nick Saban coached college defense with multiple pre-season All-Americans and future first round draft choices? When Saban has months to prepare?

The point spread at 10 seems too low. I don't think we'll see a repeat of the last game we saw the Badgers D (the embarrassment against OSU), but with a somewhat rebuilding OL, I don't think the offense will do much of anything.

So there aren't a lot of takers to travel to Dallas on Labor Day weekend (where temperatures may exceed 100 degrees) to watch the Badgers likely get blown out? Generally people try to avoid Texas weather in the summer.

Last year's rollercoaster ride of a season has me as confused about an upcoming Bucky season as ever.

I do suspect a much better and consistent Stave under Chryst but the mobility is something that never was there. All the reports this 'preseason' have him looking pretty solid. And then there is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ1qt3e-pL8

If the defense lives up to it's hype, I gotta think it will be close the majority of the tilt.

I will say fat kicker wins it at the end, 16-13 Bucky!

I want to believe that Bucky can pull this off, but like others, I am sort of expecting the worst.  That Big Ten championship still gives me nightmares.  At least Barry got them a bowl win.

I think Chryst will do very well here, especially if he goes back to the Badger's patented ground and pound offense.  Let everyone else run the spread option--keep doing what you've been doing and be the team others have to spend more time to prepare for.  Very glad we kept Aranda too--I like what he's done with the defense.  I think they will have a fine season, but the 'Bama game might be a bit of a downer.

Not that I disagree GL, but what made you post that?  Was it the roughing penalty after the sack?

Yes. There have been other calls too.

nick Saban is a hypocritical ahole. Whines for two years about the number of plays spread offenses run, and today comes out in a hurry up?.
