Well, we have scratched, clawed, crawled, and fought to get to the bye week. It's finally here, and not a moment too soon.

The Packers have a LOT of players who should benefit from the extra week of rest.
ARod for obvious reasons.
Jones and Dillon. Both were already bunged up, and I think Dillon got nicked a little in yesterday's game.
Daktari and Jenkins.
Doubs may (should?) be ready after the break.

I hope the entire Defense benefits. They have defended an average of 67 plays per game, so they're bound to be worn down.
Campbell may be ready to return by the next game.
Savage may be ready, as well. Not that we're missing a lot with him out, but I would just as soon have his depth available as not.

Looking ahead to next weekend, Vikes @ Loins may be the most interesting game. The only other games with any kind of implications for playoffs are Philly @ NYG and Bradys @ San Fran.

And, speaking of the 49ers, their season sure took a big swing yesterday. I look for Seattle to overtake them in their division, and who knows how Purdy is going to play?

Shanana may find a way to get SF a few more wins but they'll likely be cooked if they reach the playoffs.  Was Lance's injury season ending?

They're replacing Garappolo with dude named Purdy?  Does Goldie pick their roster?

Brock Purdy was great in college against some stiff competition in the Big 12. He’s short, and no telling if his skills translate to the NFL, but he’s smart, athletic, has a great arm and a lot of confidence.

Yea ,I think that Brock Purdy is purdy good. Anyone I think could see he was smart,athetic, had a great arm and ready to go. Purdy dang good backup!

I Would have liked for him to attempt to tackle Fields.

Bears ran 50 plays. Campbell was in on or soloed 11 tackles, or 22% .  Is he supposed to make 100% of the tackles?

In contrast the Packers  ran 63 plays.  Jack Sanborn also had 11 tackles, or in other words  17%.  The announcers kept saying how great Sanborn was playing.  Who actually had a better game?

He was running alongside Fields on his td run and made no attempt to tackle him

Important games this week:

Falcons losing to the @Saints.

@Caridnals losing to the Patriots.

@Lions losing to the Vikings.

@Giants losing to the Eagles.

@49ers losing to the Buccs.

@Seahawks losing to the Panthers.

This would eliminate the NFC South from the last Wild Card spot with the Falcons and Cardinals getting to 9 losses (plus they play each other in Week 17, so they will both be out regardless of this week).

This would also eliminate the Lions from the last Wild Card (assuming the Packers win out thus beating the Lions and pushing them to 9 losses).

It won't be "Purdy" I can tell you that.  He was just an OK QB at Iowa State.  Or was it Iowa?  I forget.  But I've seen him play a few times.
