A QB, as they split screen Love and AR.

@Herschel posted:I’m sticking with my original pick from a couple of months ago:
Kingsley Suamataia.
Multiple year starter.
Started on both sides. Could also swing inside, if needed. (Plus over Guyton and Mims)
Premium position with probably second-longest career length.
Just turned 21 on January 18th, in a class short on underclassmen.
Fits well in height/weight/arm length they prefer. (Second plus over Guyton/Mims)
Has as high of upside as anyone but may need some development, which has been a common Gutekunst theme.
Has some needed nasty in his play.
Punditry has had him sliding a bit in lying season.
If he hits, he would likely be a franchise tackle for the rest of Love’s and Gutekunst’s careers, even if he needs some time to get there. That would be a hell of a get.
That's a really compelling argument for Gute's "type" of pick. But is 25 too high for him?
R1
I think Gutekunst moves back a few to like 28-32 range picking up another 2nd.
I think he takes Murphy II or Newton.
Calling my shot...Packers trade #25 and #41 for #16 and a 6th rounder from Seattle to grab Penn State OT, Olu Fashanu

Yes
You spelled Cooper DeJean wrong Chongoya.

Who hasn’t?
One more prediction: When Gutey makes his pick someone will accuse him of reaching for a player he could have had later and/or trying to be too cute with his picks.
Guys worth moving up for, IMO, would be Joe Alt, OT; Terrion Arnold, CB; Quinyon Mitchell, CB; Laiatu Latu, DE/Edge; Leonard Taylor, DT; Byron Murphy, DT; Graham Barton, OL; Brock Bowers, TE; maybe Cooper DeJean, if that's who Gute really likes. I think that just isn't the case. If Gute does not move up, I think he may look at DeJean, but my bet is Barton at #25. If Gute trades out of round 1, I think Edgerrin Cooper, LB, comes into play with our 1st pick of the 2nd round.
@Herschel posted:As much as I love Alt, they'd probably need to trade with the Giants at #6 because Tennessee will likely grab him immediately. That would be an incredibly steep price.
I also feel that the price, in draft capital, for Alt, would be really steep. It all depends on what Gute is willing to spend.
I'm with the Guyton people. Eventually move Tom to C.
Da Bears are on the clock, fall asleep, and wake up at pick #17.
I know we’re all thinking it so I’ll just come out and say it. The first round would be a great place to take a new long snapper!
1) Guyton
2A) Edge Cooper
2B) Max Melton

As long as his last name is Johnson !
I don't have a clue who should be first . I lean towards Dejean or Barton or Guyton or Murphy . Hey guys good to be back ,sorta.

Or maybe Cooper !?!
If he is there at 25 it's Barton.

Right pick, wrong spot.
@Benzene posted:I think they will shock the world by grabbing a QB in every round.
Not even a couple picks past the Packers pick Round 1 and the bitching is GLORIOUS!!!!
Interesting that Cooper Dejean is still on the board for the 2nd round. He could fall to the Packers at #41, but I think the Packers would take Edgerrin Cooper, LB, before they took DeJean, there.
Would be awesome though, with Bulaga announcing 2nd rd picks, to hear Cooper DeJean, Iowa.
@Herschel posted:Probably not. San Fran and Kansas City would also be teams looking at him right around there, and Philly could be interested, as well.
Re-reading your post on Kingsley S. If you insert "Jordan Morgan" there, almost everything else applies.
Kingsley in round 2? Maybe 🤔
I feel.like Edge Cooper is going to be a Packer.
Part of the fun of the draft is having guys you like/dislike & cheering for the ones you like to become Packers. Just remember - maybe the most universally loved Packers pick ever was Josh Jackson & most hated the Jordan Love pick. All picks have plenty of pros & cons - but today…

I like Morgan a lot, he’s just a little older and had the knee injury.
He’s 22 years old. How is that a little older?
Jordan Morgan: August 4th, 2001
Kingsley Suamataia: January 18th, 2003
That’s about a year and a half.
