I'd prefer the Saints either don't get to the playoffs or lose quickly. I am greedy, I want the Pack to get a better 1st round pick from them!!! 
That said, they really are a likeable team for the most part. I've sort of resigned myself to the fact that the Pack will quite possibly end up with the #32 pick from them to finish off last year's draft day trade.

I remember that season vividly! That was the first season I started watching/paying attention to sports and what a year it was:
Oh you sure are right that in that decade that was an incredible year. My most vivid memory was when Francis Freakin' Tarkenton scrambled around for what seemed like 5 minutes and completed the winning pass and I believe knocked the Packers out of playoff contention. The words playoff contention were not used by fans too much back then.
Yep, I remember '78. Near highlight was 8-7-1. We didn't whine about it either; we rejoiced.

1970s records: 6-8; 4-8-2; 10-4 (lost in division round); 5-7-2; 6-8; 4-10; 5-9; 4-10; 8-7-1; 5-11. Two winning years in the '70s.
1980s: Two winning years ('82: 5-3-1; '89: 10-6). Four(!) years of 8-8, including three years in a row; two years of 4-12; one year each of 5-10-1, 5-9-1.
Those were the days... when I said, "My heart bleeds green-and-gold, and these days it's bleeding a lot!"

Same here. I have to thank the 1978 Packers for making me a fan for life. I did watch a little bit of football in 1977 but all I ever remember are Cowboys/Steelers/Broncos games. The '78 Packers were mostly a fun team to watch even though they got destroyed when they went up against some of the better teams like Raiders and Cowboys.
