Mike has been crushed for years for not being more aggressive in Seattle. Rightfully so.

You could easily run 1, if not 2, pass plays and have plenty of time to kick a game tying FG if you don't convert. That they didn't even try is criminal. That so many here are defending it is comical, and I'd hate to ever be at a blackjack table with them. "Oh dear, I can't hit on 15 vs the dealer's 10. I risk busting!"

Go ask a Pats fan if they were thrilled KC decided to kick a FG instead of throwing it one more time. (hint, they were thrilled)

Worth mentioning. Tony Romo is the best color broadcaster since Madden. He must have called 15 plays correctly before they happened in real time last night. It’s a unique thing to hear a color broadcaster outline where the play will likely go before it happens instead of explaining how it happened after it happened. He’s really good.

Pats fans knew playoff Andy would inevitably become playoff Andy. You can’t have an Andy conversation minus the context of his playoff body of work. He was going to **** everything up by trying not to **** everything up.

Yes, Romo is reading the defense like he was playing which is extremely insightful for us fans. He gives a window into all that is going on out there & how most offense is dictated by how the defense is playing you....the defense is set up to take away this, you go to that, etc. Pat Kirwan's book "take your eye off the ball" is a good read for those who are interested in beginning to understand a little bit of what is really going on out there.

There was a specific sequence when things were going wild in the 4th and Nance was his full subdued “Hello friends. Welcome to The Masters” and Tony was bringing a case of Red Bull and said (paraphrasing) “You gotta split Gronk out wide here. THERE HE GOES. THERE HE GOES. HES OUT WIDE!!!! If that safety cheats the run at all you have to go to Gronk”.

Safety crashed. Completion to Gronk. Yes. I’m fully looking forward to Romo talking over Nance for LA and NE in two weeks.

KC defender doesn't line up offside and they're going to the Super Bowl. Right up there with Bostick's gaffe.

and he was lined up over the LOS at least two feet! How can anyone screw that up in such a big game?

Exactly! KCC had an int on that play with about 1 minute left. They could have run out the clock or even scored, but that so called professional lined up over the los. How stupid.🙃 Game could have been over but instead NE keeps the ball and scores. 😾

yep.  unreal with the team he had this year, crappy defense was the undoing of kc but andy became andy...that will always hang over his head until he wins something.  he won in philly, not the sb, but the championship game...i really thought this year was gonna be different for kc.

There was another play late in the game when the Cheats had the ball.
Somebody (not sure who; wasn't Nance, sounded like a sideline or studio reporter?) said "they need to (run this particular kind of play)" and when the audio switched back to the booth, Romo hurriedly said "No, you have to throw it over the middle to Edelman!".
It was a throw over the middle to Edelman.

Read where Brady was only QB not sacked in playoffs. It's been his eM Oh, no pressure and he cuts the D apart.

LAR has a decent DL, right?

I won't be watching, but I'm betting on SonOfBum dialing up pressure on Brady.

Rams will do exactly what the Giants did to NE twice (and GB twice). Rush 4 and cover with 7. Billy B will make sure Aaron Donald doesn’t beat him. So Brockers and Suh have a legitimate chance to actually matter when it matters.

Driving a lot today, heard a lot of talk radio and a lot of complaining about the overtime rule and the Chiefs not getting a chance.  I get it...people hate th3 Pats and love Mahomes, but where was all the outcry when the Cards and Seahawks knocked the Packers out of the playoffs without Rodgers getting a chance.

LA will have to be able to stop NE's running backs with that front.  They've been affecting games in the post season.  It makes their play action deadly.  I don't recall NE having much of a running game when they played NYG.

Without taking a deeper dive, you could look at what LA D did vs NO's 2 headed RB monster - they held them pretty well in check.  You might even compare NE/Brady's passing game with NO/Brees's similarly.  NO only scored 23. But "they ain't BB/TB".

LA needs to spend every practice snap from now until the Boll on their running game.

Yep. Enjoyable

It's fun to listen to him for a while but it gets to be too much when trying to take in the big picture of the game.  Imagine being at the game in the stands with Romo sitting next to you saying everything he says on TV for the entire game.  I may punch him.

It's perfect for re-watching a game though.  He may be better if he sets up each play with the pre-snap analysis but doesn't predict what play will be run.

watching the muff on teh punt return last night reminded me of this game from days gone by. Fans today dont know what a muff is. This was my first experience with it.  Macarthur Lane was about to give the Packers a 14 to 3 lead but lost the ball on a muff. The refs screwed up the call and called it a fumble and Jack Tatum ran it back 104 yards and gave the raiders the lead. The stats from this game were pretty standard for back then. The passing yards were Hundley esque. 13 attemps? 64 yards! yikes! Raiders were boasting about how many total yards they had. Thank God football has evolved from them

Not to mention that if Dee Ford had not joined up offsides they would have won. Of course some of our more brilliant minds will insist that Reid TOLD him to lineup offsides.

What the hell do you mean with this all time stupid post?

Rodgers had a chance, but the refs couldn't be bothered to call the facemask penalty.

(Yes, I know you mean the other Cardinal game.  But I'm still angry about the 2009 game.)

With all this shaving going on the youngsters don't know what a muff is either.

I won't be watching either but I be Donald and Suh will be bringing some pressure up the middle on Brady.  If they don't get that pressure look out Brady will pick them apart.

As for the Chiefs DE lining up offsides I am still shaking my head on that one.  The first day you play football and you line up on the DL they tell you look at the ball and if your helmet or facemask appears to be on the ball back up a foot.  That guy is an IDOT.

You always see WR checking with the side judge to see if they are lined up offside, often backing up a step. But I have never watched a DE or OL check with a ref to see if they are lined up correctly. I wonder why that is?

They're close enough to the ball where they shouldn't need to.  Line judge is also usually near the sideline where WR's are.  KC's D was on the field for something like twice as many snaps as NE's.  Fatigue and pressure of the moment surely was a factor.  Inexcusable from a pro but not unexplainable.

Aided by bullshit "roughing" call on Brady & the so called "catch" by Hogan. Not a catch. Not even close. That's just the last drive in regulation. Don't forget Dee "Snider" Ford lining up offsides. Good Lord.

KC defense sucked though. I would've terminated him after the 54-51 KC/LA game

I wondered when the lack of defense in KC would kill the Chiefs chances.  Great offense they have but sooner or later you have to make a stop.  But honestly when I saw the Pats had the ball in OT I just knew that game was over.
