Lots of big brewer news. Yelich back in the line up, let's hope the rest did him some good.  Tellez will DH tonight.  Canha back in the line up too.  But the best news is Garrett Mitchell is going to AAA to rehab.  He will be able to play in the post season if all goes well. Could be a big plus  for the Crew.   I love Wiemer but we need more offense out of our center fielder.  ESPN gives the Brewers a 64.5% chance to win.

Cubs have 3 game series at Arizona.  That will be tough for them.  The the Pirates come to Wriggly for 3, then the Rockies are in Chicago for 3.  Cubs then go to Atlanta for 3 before finishing with 3 at Milwaukee.

Good thread title too B K!!

If Wiemer doesn't completely re-invent his batting stance he'll be in Nashville next season. Instead of getting better he got worse. It's a game of adjustments and right now the league has him figured out.

Rough inning for Miley. Had 2 strikes on everyone but couldn't put them away. One ball hits the foul pole and 2 opposite field doubles just inside the RF line. Now he bounces back with a 10 pitch inning.

The Chubbies started Justin Steele againdt Brandon Pfaadt for the D-Backs.
Steele was 16-3 coming into the game, while Pfaadt was 1-8 with a 6.25 ERA.
Steele gave up three runs in the first inning and another 3-spot in the sixth thu six innings of work.  Pfaadt pitched 5.1 scoreless innings.

There is no joy in Chitown.

The win was a typical Brewer win. Solid pitching and defense  with just enough hitting to win. The HRs were a bit off script.

With Mitchell in rehab until the 24th it will be interesting to see the roster move if he's activated.

They might be just giving Mitchell some work as a confidence builder about his health with no real intention of throwing him into the playoffs. I really don't see where he would play much in MILW. He'd be the 5th outfielder and we can see how much Wiemer plays in that role.

When does Counsell move Yelich down in the lineup? He has no business batting lead off right now, and it’s clear the break didn’t change anything after last night’s performance. He’s 11 for his last 68 at bats. That’s a .162 AVG, and a slash line of .275/.250/.525.

And how does Rowdy Tellez continue to get at bats?

Last night with Nashville Mitchell went 0-4 with 3 K. He has a ways to go to be activated.

True. But it’s very encouraging that he’s starting to swing the bat again. He’s making remarkable progress.
