I am finally making the trek to GB after 50 years, coming up from NC for the game this weekend via Packerfantours. Any suggestions for must-see sights, eats, etc..? We're flying in Friday night and leaving Monday morning. We're hoping to do the stadium tour on Saturday morning and then hit the hall of fame in the afternoon. We have the autograph party Saturday evening and the tailgate before the game. What else is a must-see?

Thanks for any tips you can give!

That is outstanding. As a Wisconsin expat I haven't been able to pull this off yet and doubt that I ever will. Enjoy!

Back in 2002, I made my first trip to Green Bay from NC, and Tooner's website was invaluable.

I don't know if it's still there, but Skip's was the place to go for breakfast.  Not far from Lambeau (I believe it was on Holmgren) and it was where Ray Nitschke usually ate. We went not long after Ray had passed away, and they had retired his breakfast stool and covered it with green and gold, and had his jersey framed.  It was a nice touch.

Fuzzy's #63 was also a definite stop.  I don't know who owns it now, but if it has any of the old ambiance, it's a neat place.

Could have been in jest, but I recall IowaCheese and or Pakrz inferred Tooner somehow found himself in legal trouble, nothing specific just vague references. Speaking of departed posters wonder why IowaCheese and Pakrz, and JJSD stopped posting? I liked those guys.

STD, just about anyone who ever registered at X4 is listed as a member going back years and years to the beginning of X4, even those who eventually got the boot.

Where is this list?

Yet Fedya is still here.

Why is life so unfair?

Meh

There are several forums out there that have as much traffic as here or more.

x4 is not for pussies and solid debate can be had... all opinions are welcome and a Spade WILL be called a Spade.   Other sites filter a lot of this out and don't allow it.  Here you get unbridled honesty.

Whether you choose to back your posts up or bow in defeat is the difference.  Fighting for what you believe in builds respect.  Being an idot and continuing to blather non-relevance will be challenged.  Sometimes heartily.  Posters come and go, some question if this type of policy is a decent way to present yourself. x4 NFP.

If you can't look at yourself and laugh, then what can you look at?!

Tooner's site was great.  Miss the guy.  I wonder if any of the interweb archives have the site available.

Everything you have seen posted are all great advice.  You make due with any combo platter of the suggestions, I guarantee you will have a great experience.

Make sure to come back with a solid fluff report!  We want pics too!

I havent lived up there for years but a cheese factory is the way to go,  someone here or on the ground in GB will be able to point you in the right direction.  Lots of these small cheese factories have sadly gone away.  Check this out....

Is there a particular place to get them?

South of Green Bay about 40 miles is a place called LaClare Farms. It is on Hyw 151 south of Chilton.  They will have fresh cheese curds, many times both cow and goat milk curds.  It is also a great yet inexpensive place to eat.  They also have about 40 different cheeses for sale.  Tell them Al sent you.
