This just makes me sick..... come on Brewers.
They look really listless. Like they are just going through the motions. As I type, Davis hits one out, but still need more runs. Just have this feeling that we'll be in second place after today.
Back to back homers, nice rally thread gbIdaho!!!
Cards are losing to Pirates 4-2 in the 7th.
Cards are up 5 to 4 now, could very well be in second place shortly.
Start off the 1st inning with the 1st 2 batters on and no runs. Then swing at a lot of garbage. Back to back solo homers in the 7th. Second place it is.
until they win a few, then they deserve it? **** me.
Go out and win tomorrow. With another right hander on the mound, I would sit Jean and Ryan (unless Ron is looking for more double plays.) I'd also consider moving Aram into the three hole for the rest of the season.

I agree. In the thick of a pennant race and they are playing with no emotion or intensity.
And Lyle Overbay and Mark Reynolds, **** you too.
Not sure why Reynolds wastes so much energy. He should just request an automatic out. Are you allowed to eat at first base? The guy had a bag of some sort of nuts at first base.
I think the only logical conclusion a fairly reasonable adult could come to at this stage in the game is that these athletes, collectively, have lost any desire to do anything short of ride the season out. Earlier in the year they we jazzed about baseball, but no more. They just want the season to end. The accidental first place run was more annoying than anything, but the Cardinals just couldn't put together a winning streak either. Ron is going to have to sit down with the whole team and let them know that if they don't start trying a little harder, this season will just go away.
Edit: for ****s sake
Roenicke needs to get fired if they don't make the playoffs. The team needs someone that can light a fire under their a$$es. Roenicke is not capable of that.
I learned something today.
See, it's not the black holes of suck offensively at 1B and SS that's an issue. It's not that the entire offense has gone into a slump that's an issue. It's not the horrific bullpen pitching as of late that's an issue. It's not a manager that continually mismanages the bullpen or makes bizarre calls or gives away outs far far too easily.
See, it's about players mailing it in, and a manager who just will not light a fire under the players asses. It's about emotion! GRIT! WE NEED ECKSTEIN.
I don't know if they are mailing it in. I only get to see 4-6 TV broadcasts a year living in MN. I listen to most games on MLB Audio. But watching yesterday, they sure looked lethargic during their at-bats. Swinging at really bad pitches. Maybe that was just my impression.
"take it hard, just don't take it stupid"-
Abraham Lincoln
If only we could jettison that bum Roenicke and bring in Gene Hackman
Melvin does need to bring in some cheerleaders. Some sis boom ah is what this team needs
Well, it certainly isn't any better tonight. Gallardo is NOT a number one pitcher...he's pitching more like a number 2. THis team...I don't event know what to say...
A number 2 is being way to generous.
This team.
Thought I'd DVR the Cubs broadcast to help encourage breaking out of the slump.
Tomorrow I'll watch the game with Hank and bowl of pink feathers
This team has been doing it with mirrors since May first....20 and 8 in April, 53 and 56 since.
It's been a fun yr but really, they are what they are. Mediocre.
Ammo, by #2 I was referring to something else!
Folks in STL are laughing at Milwaukee now.
Then I read Ron Roenicke says his there is no difference in his players during this slump. Really Ron? Gotta beg to differ to with you on that one.
No player on this team is stepping up to make the difference. Be it a pitcher or position player. Not one. I listen to the games and get absolutely no positive feedback throught the play-by-play. And the manager seems to be going along for the ride.
Here we go...7 in a row down the gutter.
The lurking question now is, will the Brewers finish over .500? At this rate and with their schedule ahead. That might be the million dollar question.
timing their burial perfectly with the start of the NFL season
nice transition boys. see ya in March
Adding insult to injury, the club gets this unexpected bad news:

There still is plenty of season but this past week (plus the Bucky debacle) has me on a sports hiatus until tomorrow evening.
Take the rest of the year off.
Delete me.
Being a Brewers fan is like playing blackjack and continually pulling 16 vs the dealer showing a 10. You know you have to hit, and every once in a while you pull a win out of your ass, but generally speaking it's almost always a 7 that busts you out and it almost always ends in misery.
