Have you ever seen a ref make a call stand and then go back for "additional footage"?  Were they going to change the call after making it, making it again, and then watching more film? How would that look?

Ridiculous phrasing even if it was on the level. They need to figure out their policy for replay. It's laughable. How is it on certain broadcasts we are clearly told a play is an "automatic review" and others we get no explanation and must take the late word of a Joe Buck that a score was confirmed or replay upheld or whatever. That failure in wk 4 against Philly still burns me up, especially since it directly pertained to a rule change implemented just this season.

Has there been any explanation about the "more stuff to review" incident.

Pretty sure that was the pylon camera. The one shot that clearly showed that the ball went past the 1st down marker. The actual initial spot (past the yellow line) was very generous but that bad spot didn't give them a first down. They could have backed it up a 1/2 yard from there and measured and it's still a first down.

They had a pylon camera on the 36 yard line?

It looked like it was mounted on the bottom of the pylon based on the shot I saw.

Edit: here is the still shot.

Thanks. That's the angle I recall seeing where you could tell he made it. I think it was shown only once, maybe twice. All the other shots you can't really see the ball or see when he is "down".

I keep seeing arguments (tweets) that Graham was short of the yard to gain by using stills and clips where you can't see if he is down or where the ball is. Not one comment with the view from that side.
