Wow, terrible article. Two completely different people.

Maybe CD should have referenced this before writing that.

And just when you thought fans couldn't get any dumber:

every great NFL player should murder AT LEAST two small-time, wannabe "gangstas" in his career - it's what we call "giving back" to society. thanks Ray. we love you!"

Exactly. I think DD is as classy as they come, but he got 2.3 million dollars this year essentially as a thank you for all he's done for the organization. No way he should take playing time away from Jennings, Nelson, Jones, or Cobb (and perhaps even Jeremy Ross).

TT and MM made an exception in keeping him this year as it was clear in hindsight that Cobb should have gotten more snaps last year. Hopefully he works in the Packer organization or somewhere in an AD type job in Wisconsni.

I really felt bad for him. Didn't look like he was happy that he was inactive for his last home game. I'm sure he understood but I'm sure pride was *&#$in' wit him.

Does anybody know if they had something on the scoreboard saying thanks or something like that? I suppose maybe they aren't 100% sure he is retiring.

I was at the game..There was zero scoreboard stuff.

Sad to say, but he's done, and likely never to dress again, especially if Boykin is healing as fast as he is. Will be sad to see him on the sidelines if we make the Super Bowl.

It's not sad. It's the natural progression of a professional athlete. You can't play this game forever. DD knows he's been blessed to play this game for so long and Packer fans have been equally blessed to have him on the team. A win-win. But when it's time to go, it's time to go. IMO, DD stuck around a year too long. I think he's handling it very well actually.
