Thank you DD for showing me not all NFL WRs are entitled, spoiled, self-absorbed, douche bags. I'll miss you!

Ditto to that.....he's just a fantastic role model, and Packer People. Will miss him terribly indeed.
Yes, a class act all around. Great player, but most of all a great human being. I'm happy they are having an event like this for him. He deserves it in so many ways. I'm also glad he retired a Packer. He wouldn't look right in any other uniform.
Probably my all time favorite Packer. I've worn his jersey every game day for the past 10 years. That jersey will now be retired, but I will keep it on the off chance I might be able to get him to sign it some day. Randall Cobb's jersey is now lined up for next year.
Text from TJ Lang made my day so far...he's hilarious! "Donny It was a pleasure sharing the field with you for four years.. You are not only one of the best players I've ever been around but an even better person.. Thanks for being a tremendous friend and leader I am going to miss you man.. And I'm going to miss kicking your butt in backgammon too."

As Donald Driver retires, he is 37th all time in NFL history in receptions, and 38th in receiving yards. Not bad for a seventh round pick.

@TomSilverstein
Randy Moss on #Packers' Driver: "He won him a Super Bowl and played with two Hall of Fame quarterbacks. You can't ask for more than that."
as old and as cynical as I am I got a littly misty eyed hearing this even though it was expected.

I remember when said QB was miked during a game in Drivers first season and kept saying toward Driver, "let's make a play!" well Donald made a lot of plays. it was a fast 13 years.
Thanks Double D.....

Most 1,000-yard seasons (seven, a record six of them consecutive from 2004-09)
Most 50-catch seasons (nine, also a consecutive record from 2002-10)
Most consecutive games with a reception (133)
Most receptions at Lambeau Field (363)
Most receiving yards at Lambeau Field (5,000)

Perspective...

@Packerpedia
Remembering Hutson: He led league in receptions 8x. Led in receiving yds 7x. Led in TD receptions 9x. All of those remain NFL records.

DD was truly special.

Oh my gosh. Yeah, if I were Donald, I'd want to spend more time at home with the family myself. I'm surprised he didn't retire like about 12 years ago.

DD,

Thanks for the memories, man. Always a class act, and one of the most popular Packers ever, IMO.

Enjoy your retirement, although I think a certain team to the northwest is going to try mightily to change your mind.

Quote of the day from #80....."Someone is always going to be able to tell my kids that their dad was a great football player......
..but no one will be able to tell my kids that their dad was a great dad and a great husband, so I have to be able to show them that."
