Getting an early start today. You must be bored or Mrs. Kiel is away.
Brewers are going to knock out Taillon in the 4th.

Fantasy draft tonight..gotta study
Just like that, a leadoff home run.
First home run this month by Yelich.
2nd and 3rd, one out. Get at least one more here in the first.
Tellez coming up
Sac fly. 2-0.
Canha with a long 436 foot home run.
4-0.
Is the wind blowing out at Wrigley?
Nothing wind aided about the ball Canha hit. Top row of the bleachers. Now we need a shut down inning from Miley.
Miley gives up a homer in the bottom of the first.
4-1
Not bad. 4-1. The wind is blowing out but all the HRs were legit.
Got that run right back. 5-1.
Just 26 pitches for Miley. He's pitching his game.
Got 1 in the 7th when Adames drives in Contreras. Both hit doubles. 6-2 good guys. Miley out, Peguero in.
On to the 9th !
Who pitches the 9th if it's a 4 run lead? Most of the pen worked in yesterday's game.
Milner in the for the ninth.
Brewers win the first game of the series with Woodruff and Burnes starting the next two games and Williams having two games off in a row.
Nice win. I can't believe there was only one walk in this game as tight as the strike zone was.
Make that 9 in a row !!
Tomorrow is a huge game. If Burnes can beat Steele it will really send a message and set the Brewers up to leave Chicago with a possibly a 7 game lead.
Milner has had an unbelievable year. His numbers are about the same as Payamps, very good.
ESPN giving Cubbies a 62.6% chance. Steele has some good stats but he is not that much better than Burnes. Soon as the Brewers take the lead that will flip.
The Cubs are -130 but this is a different Brewer team with a different hitting approach. The Brewer had a very difficult time with LH pitching earlier in the season. But now they feature better RH hitters in Taylor, Santana, Canha, and Monosterio. All the guys they replaced were killing the Brewers. Tellez can't hit LH pitching, while Anderson and Weimer were easy outs, and Caratini/Winker was our DH. The current lineup has a much better approach in that they take pitches and make the pitcher work. That's important with a guy like Steele because even if he's effective for 5 innings if his pitch count hits 100 we'll see the Cubs bullpen for 4 innings. I just hope Santana plays today, it's his glove as much as his bat.
Only in Shitcago!!
Right handed heavy line up tonight. I see a few pinch hitters and defensive replacements if needed.

I thought Yelich might get the night off being Steele is a lefty but Yelich is batting .412 against him. Other good batting ave. are Contreras .286, Adames .263, Monesterio .667 and Taylor .300.
This would be a great night for Weimer to earn some additional playing time.
Yeeehaaaaaa, watching the Crew on TNT tonight. Letβs go Brewers.
Brewers strand 2 but it cost Steele 29 pitches to do it.
Burnes drills Hoerner who later, ends up scoring. 1-0 Cubs after 1
And then Burnes gives up a run on about 10 pitches. He threw some bad pitches to get in that jackpot.
I think the Brewers are going to have to retool Weimer's batting approach in the offseason.
Caratini lines one into Steele's left thigh. That had to hurt! 100mph off Caratini's bat.

No kidding! He just stood there and watched two down the middle and went around on one that ended up in the dirt.
He's an easy out and when you have a pitcher like Steele you have to make him work. They're not going to knock him out of the game. They have to get him on the pitch count. That DP was another AB that let him off the hook. He's already at 40+ pitches. I don't care if Frelick bats LH, he'll make the pitcher throw a ton of pitches.
