This team is what it is without Rodgers. Maybe hundleys turns it around and the defense starts making teams punt the ball. In the end I'm still a packers fan...so what should want to see happen in the remaining games? I'd like to see...

1  if biegel can really play

2. If hundley really is as bad as he looks...ig so let's see what Callahan can do

3. If k king, j jones are legit

4. If a couple guys on the oline can really play like McCray and spriggs

5. Establish a run game with the rookies and put Monty back at wr

Just a few thoughts to put some positive spin on what appears to be a dumpster fire that turns into some off season firings

I love Mike. I do. But I can’t get past his loyalty to coaches that don’t have his back. They are KILLING him now. And it’s all because of Rodgers. And Mike.

I’d fire Mike and hire Jim Bob Cooter as head coach and let him clean house.  Weakens the real threat in the division and strengthens GB offense and GB finds a new DC.

GB never had a chance tonight. Can’t pretend Rodgers solves everything.

Rodgers obviously covers a lot of ills. When you lose the best player on the planet at the most important position......it ain't rocket surgery.

However, the defense was F**King phenomenal early in the season vs. Seattle.

These players didn't just forget how to play. They're done with the crap fat cat coaches that have no threat of ever losing their job.

2 weeks off & that's the effort we get. It's pitiful. Well...HEY! We get paid the same & so do the coaches. Who cares about winning.

Can’t believe the Packers won’t fire TT at a minimum and let the new GM decide to pick his own coach or run with McCarthy and see if it works.

Thompson has been pretty subpar at drafting the last 7 seasons overall.  Sure there are a few hits, but with that many selections you should hit here or there.  Where he has really failed has been on the defensive side of the ball and OL.  When Rodgers is healthy he masks the many warts this roster has had for many seasons.  By himself he’s a 6-8 win swing versus a backup like Hundley or Tolzien who we had for a few years prior.

Im a little surprised it took until the end of the game for Hundley to start looking down field more.  Just unleash the poor guy and let him let it loose.  He looks like he is playing not to throw a pick, which is good.. but when you’re averaging 3.5 yards per pass over 3 quarters you really need to realize that it’s just not your game to dink and dunk.

We could end up with a top 5-7 pick.  Would be interesting if the new GM held a fire sale, traded down a few times to 25, had the next AR-12 fall in his lap and let him mentor for 3 years.... then we could have AR-12 go on retirement watch and ride his tractor in the offseason.  A trade to the Jets and a few penis pictures later we have history repeating itself.  Too soon?

I agree.  The effort was just not there.  Some of the players did look like they were just there to cash that check and wait until next season.

Losing AR-12 is obviously deflating, but even more deflating is they realized how ****ty they are without him and that some of them are not worth the contracts they are on.

The game against Seattle was a precursor to just how bad Seattle's offense is. That has now been well established for the 2017 season.

When Hundly doesn't throw the ball to a wide open 87 downfield is it because the play calling didn't unleash him or is the game simply to big for #7? I think his reputation of throwing INT's in college and then being the back-up to the great #12 who makes a point not to throw INT's is haunting Brett.

Lack of tallant doesn't seem to be the problem as there are a lot of former players surviving and even thriving that there was no room on our roster for.  I get that skills for specific roles or strategies is an issue.  I am growing tired of watching our coaches produce dum over and over, including a HC who emphatically claims because a 'guy' has been in his system 3 years and therefore a winner.

As for my Uncle Ted, I doubt he makes moves without consulting with coaching staff to make sure they have the right players.  Uncle Ted may have an entire coop full of chicks that grow up to produce 3/4 eggs a day while making the best chowder but if the coaches forget to feed or water them things are sad.

And yes it is time to rebuild for next year but start with coaching staff.

We did stop their running game fairly well and several times for a loss of yardage.  Our pass defense, was another story. We could not get ANY pressure on Stafford.  Detroit's defense was in our backfield way too much. Most passes Hundley threw were within 5-7 yards of the LOS. Dom's blitz plays allowed Stafford to throw screen passes. One of which went to Riddick, who needed no blockers as all the Packers had blitzed and were in the Detroit backfield as Riddick scampered down the field for a 71 yard play. A stupid penalty by Daniels, when he head butted the Detroit lineman, after we had stopped the Lions on third down drove me bonkers. It's bad enough when another team kills us, but it is inexcusable when we do it to ourselves. Another thing we didn't need to see were LS issues resurfacing.

My thoughts are the yes we stink badly right now but I don't think they are headed in to the black abyss that was 1973 to 1992.  I don't want to sound like I am preaching but the Packers organization now has a plan for how to manage things unlike the teams in the dark years.  Anyone else here who remembers those years knows only too well what I am talking about.

Do I think changes need to be made? absolutely but I think 90% of those changes need to come on the defensive coaching staff.  Far too often the last few years the defense is this team's undoing.  Again, and again, and again  it is the defense that loses the majority of the games. I honestly do believe there is talent on that side of the ball but I think the talent is so badly mismanaged by the defensive coaching staff it is crazy.  I would almost guarantee that if they get new a new DC you watch this team excel.

We are all quite aware of your boundless love for Mike McCarthy.

We are all also very aware of your incessant efforts to shut down anyone who has dared question the greatness of your man crush over the past several years.

The problem at this point is, many if not most of us, don't think McCarthy's offense is looking competent, much less good.

So why not enlighten us here on you envision the love of your life McCarthy is going to turn the offense into the type of juggernaut that will cover for McCarthy's rancid defense -- or does just Dom get blamed for that side of the ball?

Luckily only saw the first 2 series.  But that told the game story well enough.  WTF was with the OL?  Seemed every time 7 dropped back he had a swarming mob bearing down him.  D just looked...the same.  Some nice stops on 1st and 2nd down then get pantsed on 3rd.

Not time to clean house on D.  Time to burn the house down.

Doesn't look like this team can win with Spurgeon Wynn at Q.

Going to be be tough sledding the rest of the season but I hope to hell they start doing more with the rooks to figure out what they have.  That's my only glimmer of hope.

I might as well pile on.

I remember those years well.  But it's easy for a team to have "a plan for how to manage things" when your otherworldly QB raises the play of the entire team.  He doesn't play D but I can promise you opposing teams' gameplans on O are affected by how successful our offense is/isn't.  Take away 12 and everything starts looking really ugly.  Top to bottom.

I think King and Jones the rookies do have talent but they both need experience.  Clinton-Dix.... not sure what happened to him but he has been quite silent this year and you can no longer consider him a building block.  Agreed that Clay Matthews isn't really Clay Matthews anymore, he's not terrible, but he's no longer an All-Pro type guy.  He's ordinary and this defense can't afford for him to be ordinary but it is what it is.
