Got a few more championships to win first. He's fast becoming the face of the NFL if he wins a few more.

.......... he's already proven himself to be considered along with Bart in terms of character.

That is good stuff. First time I had actually heard Bert's comment in audio reference "what took so long".
Sounds like an old and whiney punk.
Sorry Bert but Arod has already passed you and your packer legacy bye.
Easy to see he was not raised by the hillbilly clan in $ec country.
JJSD: That scene brought tears to my eyes...I love A-12, and then this: "Mom, my goals have changed. I don't desire to be the best QB in the NFL, I want to be remembered as one of the best men to play QB in the NFL." D*mn he is JUST THE BEST.quote:I nearly lost it watching him bend over and kiss that poor cancer-riddled kid on his head in front of all those people. I really hope what he's portrayed as is actually what he is.

I use to think that TOG was a good guy. Never said anything publically that embarrassed him or the team, went above & beyond for Make-A-Wish Foundation, and seemed to be a very supportive teammate. Then, in 2008 all that changed and we began to find out what was really happening with Brett.

How perversely true.
And yet, a contingency exists, a very large one, that believes the organization somehow owes it to him to retire his number some day.
The same guy who refused to mentor his successor, saying verbatim, "he can learn by watching me like everyone else."
The same guy who would routinely end games--and even his own team's seasons--by launching bullsh*t up for grabs, only to "explain" afterwards by saying, he "has nothing left to prove to anyone."
The same guy who routinely blamed anyone and everyone else for his own shortcomings, as if he was jesus h. christ himself and could do no wrong.
The same guy who was so caught up in his own inflated self-worth that he actually believed the organization should release him from his contract outright, so he could pursue his own separate career with a team the organization would presumably have to play against, out of some sort of--get this--gratitude for blowing so many playoff games.
The same guy who literally expected the team to change its entire preseason gameplan because the almighty had decided at the last minute he didn't like being out of the limelight and wanted to play again, and who somehow decided it was the team's duty to take him back even though he was the one who said he "did not want to play anymore," as if it was their fault for not knowing his own tears were fake.
The same guy who then came in and was purposefully so demanding and negative the coach was forced to tell the GM there was "no way he could work with that kind of negativity" and had to suggest a trade.
The same guy who, once divorced from the organization who fed him and whom he and he alone abandoned--even though the split was 100% his fault--hated the organization (and by proxy its fans) so much he devoted the remainder of his pathetic career to doing everything he could to get back at them, including signing with their arch-rival and calling another division foe and revealing insider information out of spite. The same guy who went public with his hatred, childishly having "Thanks Ted" T-shirts made and telling other teams' players things like "Just go beat the Packers."
The same guy who, when his replacement came in and with his superior play exposed him as a reckless turnover machine who was nothing more than an ego-driven pervert with a half-limp dick, even then--the very time when you would think he should show some humility--tried to act as if the guy who replaced him was nothing more than lucky and happened to "fall into a good situation" and "should have gotten to the Super Bowl sooner."
THAT GUY, who by his words and conduct did nothing but CRAP ON THE GREEN BAY PACKERS AND THEIR FANS for several YEARS, is somehow worthy of immortalization.
Unbelievable.
AS A SHAREHOLDER, and IN MY LIFETIME, not with my consent do I see that ass_hole's number next to deserving players like #66 and #15. Ever.
Please, thank you, and wise the **** up.
