True... his name WILL go on the wall as a member of the HOF. Doesn't mean it's retired. Hornung's number hasn't been retired, either. But can you name another #5?

Did any of them use the number into the regular season?

Majik did his first year. Then he went with 7. Ferragamo also played in the regular season wearing the 5. I don't remember the other two.

Great piece but AR wasn't "overlooked" coming out of high school....he was only 5'11". He grew 3 inches, if he hadn't no one would ever have heard of him.
