what a statement.

if anybody made a statement today it's matt schaub. never seen a more gift wrapped victory in my life.

there's definitely a LOT of truth to that. but also a total team victory by the hawks. wilson was down 3 OL. there was at least 1 play in the 4th quarter where he was able to escape against jj watt's clean rush. their big corners again proved their worth. special teams helped no doubt as well.

cliff avril looks very good. i would have been awesome to see him in green and gold starting opposite cm3.

i wonder how both seattle and sf are able to keep so many pro-bowlers on their rosters under the salary cap. no doubt it must be related to their cheap qbs playing on their rookie contracts. at some point it will catch up to them.

russell wilson has to be one of the best bargains in recent draft history.

Anyone that thinks Chicago or Detroit are in good shape to win the division are seriously kidding themselves.

Detroit still has no defensive backfield and Chicago still has an unpredictable Jay Cutler.   Neither team has a legit WR other than their #1 guy (Johnson and Marshall).   Then you have the fact that neither team has managed any kind of sustained success and it's a recipe for disaster.    Keep in mind I didn't bother to mention Minnesota.  They are a joke of a football team right now.

And yes, GB is still the best team in the division even at 1-2.   They will beat the Lions handily next week guaranteed.   In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they blew them out by 25+ points.   Deetoilet doesn't know how to win and they will probably spend all week celebrating their win against Chitcago. On the other hand, the Packers have had 2 weeks to stew over their loss to Cincy.  Then there's the fact that the Loins haven't beaten GB in GB in 20 years and it won't change next week either.

The Broncos have a pathetic schedule.  They are in a weak division and they really only play about 4 good teams all year.  It would not surprise me at all to see them win 13 or 14 games.

Still, they don't run the ball particularly well, they give up a lot of yards in the air, and I question whether or not the OL can hold up against physical teams up front.

Other than Seattle no other team in the league has looked that great

Have you seen Denver....

Barring catastrophic injury to PM, Denver has to be a clear favorite to break the all-time points record.

It is funny how easily they score... even with an old qb and with oline injuries and without a marquee running game.

actually ar12 should use pm as an example. he is at a point in his career where he is what he is. by that, i mean an outstanding passer with unrivaled accuracy (better than almost any other quarterback when he's on). with good mobility. but, he is no russell wilson or kap in that regard. and one who holds the ball a little too long.

but - he is a cerebral player. i would like it if he studied manning's game more - as his style has proven successful against both 4-3 and 3-4 defenses. maybe the packers should de-emphasize the deep pass and become more 'boring' so that they can stop those 3 and out drives.

it seems that, after the end of the first quarter and into the early second half, most teams just cannot keep denver from scoring. amazing really.

I'm not sold on Denver at all.  They had just about the same roster last year and couldn't do it

you do make an excellent point.

i think the eagles shot themselves in the foot by relying on their up-tempo strategy. the coach had his own defense gassed before halftime.

no doubt they are dangerous. the dome is always a difficult place to play. if atl loses today they are likely to run away with their division.

again i wonder - how is it that they seem to have turned around their (atrocious) defense from last year by making the switch to a 3-4 despite injuries?

i still think we don't lose to cincy if cm3 had been able to finish that game. our 1 playmaker being gone made a HUGE difference. d*** hamstring cost us a w already.

the Saints' defense will come back down to earth. It's only been three games, and the Bucs and Cards aren't exactly world beaters.

good points. but they did play well against the falcons.

The Falcons are yet another garbage team. I'd bet anything that the Saints' defense is going to turn out just like the 2009 Packers D (first year of the switch to 3-4). They were able to beat up and dominate the weak offenses, and then were lit up by the elite QBs like Warner, Roethlisberger and Favre.
