Lost amongst all the injuries and other nonsense.

This team is battle tested and in first place in the North.

And of course no topic of mine is complete without the words of baredum wisdum

Been through many contract negotiations in my line of work, including 1st chair several times, so know a little bit about leverage and how it works in trying to reach agreement

I never lost faith when they were 1-2, but i didn't expect them to gain the division lead so quickly. Good day of football. Still a long, long way to go, but I feel very good about it, even with all the injuries.

These are the kind of wins that build character and confidence. If they keep it up, this team will be flying high once the injured guys get back.

Loved reading this:

Bears are in serious trouble: There is no excuse for a team to lose a game when its No. 2 quarterback comes off the bench and performs at the level Josh McCown did Sunday. None. McCown and the offense did everything in their power to win the game. But the defense is broken beyond repair. The Green Bay Packers could hang 60 points on the Bears’ defense on Nov. 4. That’s not an exaggeration. It’s hard to envision the Bears beating any of the good teams remaining on their schedule. The bad ones? Sure, that still remains a possibility, but how can McCown possibly play any better than he did against the Redskins, if in fact he is the quarterback for the foreseeable future? Chicago wasted a golden opportunity to move to 5-2, even without Jay Cutler at quarterback. This will come back to haunt the Bears.

Except that the Bears have never been about offense, but about creating turnovers and getting good field position from Devin Hester.

And Bear fans are Bear fans no matter where they play.  Get this, While celebrating the Redskins final TD, a drunken Bear fan fell 4 rows and knocked over my (Step) Grandson and little (Step) Grandaughter at FedEx Field.  Fortunately, they were ok, Grandaughter just a little scraped up, but both scared.  My Son-in-law said that if he'd have been there, they would have been taking the Bear fan to the hospital.  His ex-wife didn't put up a fight I guess.

So, the thing I wondered was why he was celebrating the Skins TD

Our next 2 games will by and large determine our future for the home stretch.

Assuming we win both (naturally), half of our divisional games will be over, and we would have a head-to-head advantage over each team.

Which brings up a scheduling complaint; we play the Spermheads after their bye, then have to play Chitcago after their bye. Doesn't seem very fair...

Chitcago always plays them tough regardless of who's in there or what their record is.   I wouldn't expect anything different on November 4.  Still, the Packers should win that one.

Next week at MN will be interesting too because the Vikes will have a shorter week having played MNF.   The Metrodome hasn't exactly been a house of horrors lately for GB but that's their Superbowl and much like the Bores I expect them to come out and play tough.

Beat both teams and I agree the Packers are in great shape going down the stretch.  Maybe that Thankgiving game against Deetoilet will mean something for once in a while.
