This will be the only time I will ever agree with DC, Payton was the best football player I ever seen. Not just the best RB, the best player. If he would have played LB instead of RB he still would have made the HOF. JMHO.

Loved watching Campbell as a kid. Just a punisher. If I was going to make a comparison of what Jackson could have been, this is it.
Campbell was the most punishing back I've ever seen. Payton would turn up field to hit ya, but Campbell would just try to run over you.
1:14. Just...wow. That's how you break a linebacker's sternum, boys and girls.

Deep, how big was Barry Sanders? If you are going to start trying to say Payton played against bigger guys but Barry Sanders played against smaller, I'd love to hear your argument on getting a raise.
You might want to try looking at average heights/weights of defenders in the 70/80's vs 90/2000's along with Walter's 5'10" vs Sanders 5'8".
I mentioned Jim Brown you retard. Skip Bayless in your avatar...go figure.
Walter Payton was a great, great running back... But Jim Brown is considered by many to be the best football player in history. He just happens to be a running back. I think Jim Brown is the biggest lock on any "all time" list that there is... as great as Walter was.
While we're discussing running backs, I'm happy to see nobody mentioned Emmitt Smiff. A wise crowd we have here.
