DAME TIME!!!!! WOWWWWW
Embiid is a better player than Giannis right now.
Make up call on Lopez on the screen there.
I mean, Lillard is good
Philly should be paying half of Giannis' contract
Terrible defense on that play to give up an open 3 to Harris. Just awful
@MichiganPacker posted:Terrible defense on that play to give up an open 3 to Harris. Just awful
Just a stupid decision by Giannis to help off of Harris to Embiid with Lopez behind him to help. Why? You are up 5. Let Embiid take a contested 2 and even if he makes it you are still up 3.
No matter what happens. Giannis will have better days - if Dame keeps this going, they're not going to lose too many
The odds of Oubre and Harris ever shooting 17-20 combined is pretty much zero.
There's the biggest upgrade from Jrue. Lillard is a flat out closer. Ice in his veins.
I was sure Giannis was going to foul Melton for a 4 point play there. That was the way his night was going.

But I do think the Sixers are a much better team with them getting minutes rather than the current version of Harden.
Giannis did not have a good game and Middleton played 16 minutes. Philly made almost half their 3s. Yet the Bucks still won.
You donβt expect Damian Lillard to play like that every game but with Holiday this is probably a 10 point loss.
Dame 17 of 17 at the line. Wow.
Only 16 minutes from Middleton tonight? Is he ever going to be healthy?

Holiday would have had his typical 4 for 13 type game for about 11 points, but he'd have probably contested some of those 3s a bit better (although Lillard's defense wasn't the problem).
They are a better team without Harden but Oubre got abused defensively late in the game and Harris isnβt exactly a reliable player on either end of the court. Those two will never shoot the ball that well again.

He looked pretty good when he was out there. He moved his feet well on defense - which he didn't do well last year when he came back.
I assume they are just being cautious with him.
Dame 17/17 at the line.
The rest of the team 8/19.
Thatβs inexcusable.
Hardenβs a whiny little bitch. I hope he retired without a chip, and Giannis and Dame get two.
Iβd happily pimp The Beard on X.

Dame abuses a lot of guys. He may be the best offensive player outside the paint the Bucks have had in their history.
You see how much attention Dame draws so you get Middleton alone on the wing and he should have a field day. Park Giannis down toward the basket instead of top of the key and itβll be nuts.

It was mostly Giannis and Portis. They were a combined 3 for 13 from the line.
If Middleton is on the floor closing with Dame, opposing teams will be like....shitting their pants
My point on Oubre is he lost his composure with whining to the refs when itβs just Dame being Dame.
Philly played really well.

Most teams don't have a guy like Embiid to bother Giannis. Anthony Davis, Adebayo, and Draymond Green are at that level. Maybe Wembanyama?
Giannis will put up 50 on Porzingis if he can hit 60% of his FTs - he already has.

Khash is on a minutes restriction
Giannis played a well below average game for his standards. Middleton didnβt even play half the game. If both of those guys play average and Lillard is above average (like tonight) they arenβt going to lose many games.
So, should we have a pool on when Giannis gets his FT percentage to 60% this year. He's 3 for 9, so he'd have to go 9 for his next 11 or 15 for his next 21 to get there. I think it may take a while.
He needs to practice with Dame and/or Khash.
Back in game 6 of Finals. He put some arc on the ball. He didn't put any arc on it tonight. He'll watch the film and get better I hope
They won by 1 point.
Win by 1 or win by 100....still counts as one win.
This is before the game last night....A team
"This is his team."

I hope so, as Ray Allen comes to mind!

The Electric Eye?
In the grand scheme of things this was a pretty big win. Embiid is the rare guy that can give Giannis a lot of trouble because heβs deadly on both ends of the court, so having a guy like Dame to take over the primary scoring role is huge. I expect Middleton will also help, as will Lopez.
I also really liked what Crowder and Beasley did and letβs remember that Pat C and Portis can play better than they did. Payne and Beauchamp gave them good minutes when they were in there.

That was an absolutely PERFECT debut for Dame Lillard in Milwaukee.

39 points including 14 points in the 4th quarter to close out the game.
He hit every big shot and took pressure off of Giannis. The Bucks have the closer theyβve needed for years. #FearTheDeer

Allen was one of the best shooters I've ever seen, but Dame is much quicker off the dribble.
@Boris posted:The odds of Dame going 17/17 from the stripe again are 100% π
The odds of Dame doing that again are actually very good. Dame is the #4 FT% shooter all-time in the NBA (89.5%).
Middleton is #17 all time at 88.1%.
https://www.basketball-referen...s/ft_pct_career.html
Malik Beasley is at 80.8%. Lopez is at 79.5%. Crowder is at 77.8%. Connaughton is at 77.8%.
Giannis is approaching Shaq territory from the FT line as the years go by. I can't believe Nurse didn't go Hack-a-Giannis in the 4th quarter yesterday.
