Giannis did not have a good game and Middleton played 16 minutes.  Philly made almost half their 3s.  Yet the Bucks still won.

You don’t expect Damian Lillard to play like that every game but with Holiday this is probably a 10 point loss.

Holiday would have had his typical 4 for 13 type game for about 11 points, but he'd have probably contested some of those 3s a bit better (although Lillard's defense wasn't the problem).

You see how much attention Dame draws so you get Middleton alone on the wing and he should have a field day.  Park Giannis down toward the basket instead of top of the key and it’ll be nuts.

Most teams don't have a guy like Embiid to bother Giannis. Anthony Davis, Adebayo, and Draymond Green are at that level. Maybe Wembanyama?

Giannis will put up 50 on Porzingis if he can hit 60% of his FTs - he already has.

In the grand scheme of things this was a pretty big win.   Embiid is the rare guy that can give Giannis a lot of trouble because he’s deadly on both ends of the court, so having a guy like Dame to take over the primary scoring role is huge.  I expect Middleton will also help, as will Lopez.

I also really liked what Crowder and Beasley did and let’s remember that Pat C and Portis can play better than they did.  Payne and Beauchamp gave them good minutes when they were in there.

The odds of Dame going 17/17 from the stripe again are 100% 😁

The odds of Dame doing that again are actually very good. Dame is the #4 FT% shooter all-time in the NBA (89.5%).

Middleton is #17 all time at  88.1%.

Malik Beasley is at 80.8%. Lopez is at 79.5%. Crowder is at 77.8%. Connaughton is at 77.8%.

Giannis is approaching Shaq territory from the FT line as the years go by. I can't believe Nurse didn't go Hack-a-Giannis in the 4th quarter yesterday.
