We play in Prime Time the next two games!!!

First Trump and now this.....America deserves better

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to appreciate the good times.

Of course, Trump is the Marianas trench. The Packers are just a terrible football team - have to have perspective.

Thank God Trump won!

It will be very difficulty to recover from this. To be considered a consensus favorite to reach the Super Bowl at the beginning of the season then fall to a team that arguably won't even make the playoffs.  TT needs to make some bold moves in the off-season.

Spoiled or not, there's a standard in GB for a reason. This team hasn't been truly competitive in two or more years. Standing Pat with this gang should be unacceptable by this pt.

TT will be 64 years old this winter. Maybe it's time he rides off into the sunset.

Yup, like retire ... let Elliot Wolf take over, hire an up and coming coach, and ask Capers to retire. Time to re-set.

Why do we automatically think EW is a guy, much less the guy?

Because the brain trust running the Packers have put him in position to succeed Thompson.

Regardless of what you believe the issue with the defense is, McCarthy has to make some kind of change at some level. They've given up 20+ points in 6 of 9 games and 30+ points in 4 of 9 (4 of the last 5). That's not okay at all. I don't know what needs to change, but something needs to be changed. Don't know if that is coaching change or benchings or what.

D is out of healthy bodies.  What are they going to do, replace guys with the rest of the practice squad?

Could start by benching Peppers in favor of Elliot.

I think they already did half of that.

Wow maybe WR are bad looks no different

You had doubts? I'm not sure they're that bad or the offense is that stale. The Packers just don't seem to have a lot of talent compared to other teams. There's a tendency (at least on my part) to believe its still 2009-11. And that keeping younger players meant potential and depth. When they had to start MD Jennings and Jerron McMillian at the safeties that bloom was off the rose.

What was it about the seasons James Starks and Eddie Lacy had in 2015 that inspired confidence to keep 2 running backs this season? Including a 7th WR that nobody else claimed when he was waived.

pedigree?

I was hoping for more

He has papers?

As I watched that game, an old pop song I remember from 1986 came to mind.  It was a song by the Talking Heads called "Road to Nowhere".   That song probably sums up what I feel about the Packers' immediate short term future under Murphy/Thompson/McCarthy.

They had a very good run but maybe the clock is about to strike midnight for at least 2 of those 3 leaders of the organization.

*sarcasm alert* Apply filters as necessary.  Minors should not consume.

Well, let's face it.  I think we all knew even before the season that the Lions would be in first place by the 2nd half of the season, so that's no surprise.   And you can't blame anyone for the lack of a ground game.  After all, who keeps more than two running backs on their team?  Nobody!   And no one could have foreseen Lacy eating a hippo.

Before we can contend we obviously need to close the talent gap with the Lions.  With guys like Zach Zenner, Dan Orlovsky, Ryan Spadola and Devin Taylor, the Lions are an elite team.   How can we be expected to compete with unknowns like  Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews, Eddie Lacy, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb?

I'm already looking forward to GB scoring twice and converting both 2 pt conversions so TN can drive 65 yards and kick the game winning FG while time expires.

Well aren't we just full of positivity there, Mr. Nellie?

Don't get on my bad side---you do not want to be cut to pieces by my rapier wit.

Are you cut apart yet? Or is this team where a lot of us thought it would be right now at this time. 25 years of HOF quarterbacking, and we have 2 Super Bowls. Satisfied? Not me. Blair Kiel would answer if he could get McCarthy's dick out of his mouth.

To be fair, in the last 25 years most teams haven't won multiple SBs...

New England 4

Dallas 3

Denver 3

NYG 3

GB 2

Baltimore 2

Pittsburgh 2

That's only 7 teams of 30-32 teams winning 19 out of 25 possible championships in that span.
