I'll try back another time.

When a toddler has a turd pop halfway out of his ass during a temper tantrum, you can either try to shove it back in or just let it drop into the diaper.

Your choice.

I think that's how draft and develop works, but I'm not totally sure

The Packers like Hyde near the LOS, and that suggests he's a SS type going forward (as I noted in my post)

And that puts 4th year vet Burnett as the QB of the back-end ... and those guys typically need 3+ years to get it, not unlike Nick Collins (who I mentioned in my post)

You can certainly question if Morgan's a good fit for that role, but I'm not really seeing your point here.

I'd also remind you that I've posted this phrase here on many occasions and I truly believe it:

"I'm not concerned with being consistent in what I say

I'm concerned with being consistent with the Truth as its revealed to me"

Players develop, opinions vary, additional information comes to light, open minds catch new things.

I just find it interesting that the guy that said "Keep Capers, Fire Capers doesn't matter- but nothing changes until you have defensive  playmakers available.  Players make the defense and this defense just needs more players." now considers it "lamenting" and "kvetching" when people wonder why they didn't try to improve the biggest glaring hole on the defense and provide the defensive coordinator "more players" - a position you used to defend Capers repeatedly.

People on Internet move goal posts.

And apparently Micah Hyde is a playmaker; and he has a real chance to be even more so in the near future. He was given many roles as a rookie and excelled in all of them. That's something that I learned more about by reading this thread that titm took the time to pull together. (And from listening to the MM interviews at the combine too) Most rookies are only given a little slice of one position so they can digest it.

The goal posts haven't moved an inch, I'm merely suggesting that one of the playmakers that Capers needs may already be on the team. That's a good thing imo And I would think it would make Packer fans happy to see a young player develop so quickly. But apparently it doesn't, because they have a different plan

So instead we can all be treated to yet another episode of Capers-butthurt and TT isn't following my plan:

We'll see what happens to the roster by the end of May, but schitting yer pants 99 minutes into FA isn't helping your case. You hit the panic button on day 1 of FA !

If you had an expectation that this team was going to be a player on Tuesday, then that's on you. There's plenty of time and plenty of talented players still available if the Packers are so inclined...

As far as my posts, if you wanna play gotcha, knock yerself out. But I'd be much more impressed if you pulled together a post ala titm and others- something that us fans can actually learn from.

I'll even make you a deal: I'll gladly admit that I don't know jack diddly squat about anything and am so full of schit my eyes are brown - IF you take your considerable talent and apply it to something useful for X4.

Think of how much time I just saved you in proving me wrong; its already done and over. I'm wrong ! El Wrongo, Mr. Wrong, The Wrongster, Woooooooo !!!

Onward

Waaait!! Hold on. You are saying Draft and Develop features the improvement in the young players??? But I don't understand. My head just exploded.

Hyde ready for any scenario in Packers' defensive shakeup

by Weston Hodkiewicz

Apr. 12, 2014 5:35 PM

Wherever Hyde goes, everyone wants to know if the 23-year-old cornerback will be playing safety for theGreen Bay Packers in 2014.

“I’m getting tweeted at and I have my family asking me and my friends asking me, ‘I heard you’re playing safety. I heard you’re playing safety,’ ” Hyde said. “And I’m just like, ‘Yo, I haven’t heard anything. You guys know more than I know.’ ”

...the time for talking isn’t for another week when the Packers report for the team’s offseason program

There’s an opening with M.D. Jennings not being tendered a contract and only three safeties on the roster. Could Hyde be the answer? He’s more than willing to give it a shot if that’s what’s asked of him.

“I haven’t talked to not one person about that,” Hyde said with a laugh. “At the same time, I’m up for whatever. If I’m able to get on the field every down, that’s what I’m trying to do — if it’s safety, dime, nickel, corner, linebacker, defensive line, I’m for it. I’ll do whatever I have to do. I’m pretty sure Coach knows that.” continue

There's lot's more past the click including; details of Hyde's time at safety while in college, assessment of Hyde from Casey Hayward, and quotes from Leroy Butler about Hyde.  Well worth the click.

Packers cornerback reads to children

Cornerback Micah Hyde is another example of Thompson’s eye for spotting talent.

The Packers think so much of his abilities that he’s been asked to slide over to safety as an experiment.

Could starting be in his future?

“I really don’t care at all. As long as I’m on the field, I’ll be okay with that,” Hyde said.

Either way, Micah Hyde has made a successful leap from college into the pros.

On Monday night, June 9th, Micah Hyde made a leap of another kind.

He read to kids at a  library in Germantown.

The Packers teamed up with Edvest to encourage young people to read during the summer.

“Just to give these kids someone to look up to, and somebody that’s been there before. That’s when these kids will realize that to be successful, you’ve got to know how to read, and you’ve got to read a lot,” Hyde said.

23-year-old Micah Hyde — an Ohio native has a heart for kids.

During college, he worked with mentally challenged youngsters and started a foundation that collected sporting goods from area schools and donated them to the Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Rapids.

For Micah Hyde, it’s all part of paying it forward.

“When I was younger — when I was their age and I had a professional whatever come in and talk to us, I was always all eyes and ears trying to listen and see what was going on, so I know it’s huge — and I try to give back as much as possible,” Hyde said.

Micah Hyde knows the history of the Packers, but traveling to different parts of the state has been something of an eye-opener for the second-year pro.

“We’re up in Green Bay all day practicing and stuff like that, and finally you get to get out and you get to see how big of fans these people really are — and how excited these kids are and it just puts it back into perspective. You are doing something that all these people love. It makes you want to go back and keep working hard and keep doing things so that you can remain being a mentor or a role model,” Hyde said. fox6now.com

Ted Thompson drafts players that not only like to play football, they're good people too.

The only "diva" type player I can think of on the team is Finley.

Hyde showing this maturity level at 23 says volumes about his character.
