Imagine what Giannis would be worth with no salary cap?
Giannis Antetokounmpo has signed a 3-year, $186 million extension with the Milwaukee Bucks. But you could argue he is worth $2B+ to the Bucks.
Bucks Average Attendance
2013: 13,487
2022: 17,555
Bucks Annual Revenue
2013: $110 million
2022: $352 million
Bucks Valuation
2013: $312 million
2022: $3.5 billion
2013-2022
Valuation (cumulative increase)
Average NBA Team: 462%
Milwaukee Bucks: 1,021%
The average Bucks playoff game also brings the city of Milwaukee $3 million in economic activity, fills 2,500 hotel room nights, and creates 700 jobs. So while Giannis was the 15th overall pick in 2013, he's quickly become one of the most valuable draft picks in the history of the NBA.

On Monday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks are in New York facing off against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

During the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo made NBA history by moving up on the all-time scoring list.

Antetokounmpo came into the evening with 16,400 points and has now moved ahead of Joe Dumars (16,402) and Jerry Stackhouse (16,409) for 106th on the list.

The next player for Antetokounmpo to pass will be Nate Archibald (16,481).

I think Giannis could average 35/15/5 at this point and not win another MVP. MVP voters don't really consider defense at all - neither Jokic or Doncic really play much defense.

Anthony Edwards is too low as well.

I would bet if you had the chance to trade any of these players even up for any other player on this list, any other team would trade their guy for Giannis.

If you look over the last 7 seasons, he’s averaging about 29/12 in basically 32 minutes a game.

Kareem was a 30/15 guy in his time in Milwaukee, but he also played 10 more minutes per game.  That’s significant.

You normalize the minutes played and Giannis is more like a 35/15 guy.

At this moment, the only guy I would trade straight up for Giannis is Embiid, but no way do I make that deal because of Embiids health.

I would never trade him straight up for Embiid. Even IF Embiid was the picture of health.

PikesPeak nailed. Multiple picks and players, maybe....there's nobody straight up.

Put Giannis on the Warriors....watch what happens - Clippers and everyone else in the West has no shot

Embiid is really good everyone.  He’s a better shooter than Giannis, he defends pretty well, and I’d argue he’s a better rebounder.  He’s not as good in the open court but no one is compared to Giannis.

The issue with Embiid is you cannot trust him to stay healthy.  He hasn’t.  Until he can it’s an issue.

But don’t kid yourself - that guy - when at his best - is pretty close if not as good as 34.

@nathanmarzion:  Giannis is the 9th player since the merger (1976) to be named First Team All-NBA six years in a row.

The list:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- LeBron James
- Kobe Bryant
- Shaquille O'Neal
- Tim Duncan
- Karl Malone
- Michael Jordan
- Larry Bird
- Magic Johnson

Every other one of those guys except Karl Malone won at least three rings.

Confirmation that most ESPN coverage of the NBA is a joke. Wilbon has been hanging out with SAS way too much.

@nathanmarzion:  Here are the 11 voters who did not vote Giannis First Team All-NBA:

If Giannis is on the Knicks or the Bulls....none of these idiots would leave him off 1st team.
