I did notice that Bush was in alot in the last portion of the game. I didn't put much thought into it considering we were up by 20 at that point. He did blitz almost every time though, which is about all he can be really good at when on D.

I also agree that its the intangibles that we will miss most. He had one situation where he called a TO last game, the announcers seemed to think it was too many men on the field but there never was confirmation. Sure his skills have declined a bit, but his experience was definately of great value.

I like the rookies better too, but don't be surprised if DC rolls out Bush instead of the rookies.
I tend to agree with cuqui. Woodson is a fantastic player who plays more around the scheme than in it. He's also nearing the end and has trouble keeping up these days. In a weird way this gives the Packers an opportunity to play more as a unit. Not saying we won't miss him. It's just going to be different.

It didn't sound like Dom is considering changing the scheme much in that interview. Might be a point of concern to ask the kids to perform the roles designed for Charles.
I agree we will lose his experience more than his physicality. With all the young guys we need a coach on the field and Wood was it. Now we are missing that "guy who's seen everything." I hope Tramon steps up, and so does CMIII. While CMIII doesn't play in the secondary, his leadership could help steady the young guys if they give up a big play or something. While our schedule lightens up a bit, we are a bit behind the eight ball in that we cannot have even a mini losing streak or we risk missing the playoffs. If we hit the break at 6-3 I'll breathe a bit easier, but CWood's loss just adds to the tension.
I distinctly remember this play and seeing C-Wood extend to make the tackle. He looked vulnerable in doing so. Helaid there a moment and then he grabbed his shoulder. Of course the dopey announcers didnt notice anything and said nothing. I expected to see CW go out. But it appeared he stayed in the game for the next play.

So...this is not a good injury. But the Packers have depth. I do think Woodson will be playing his last season for the Packers when he gets back on the field.

Once a person breaks a collarbone, aren't they that much more susceptible to future type fractures? To be honest, after it happened in the SB, I had been concerned he would break it again the following year. And then the move to safety means more hits as well. I think unfortunately this may signal the end for Wood.
