Gut Sure Gutted TT's 2015 Draft

Just spitballing here, but my guess his intentions in this draft was to try and improve the roster. 

He said something about creating competition. Rookie GM speak there.

Just so everyone is clear...The "peanuts" that Gute got for Randall is a LB'er that runs 4.59 in the 3rd round, An OL (Cole Madison) in the 5th round that will probably start in September & a high 2nd round QB that can learn from Rodgers.

That's 3 players for 1 loudmouth not very smert DB that plays the run like my 97 year old grandmother.

You buried the lede from the article.

The author Zach Kruse was obviously cruising this site and filed the thread topic away for future use.

Complain all you want about the 2015 draft class, but those guys did help the Packers make the 2016 NFL Championship game.  They must have played well sometimes. 

In retrospect it wasn’t a good draft.  

Randall can play CB but he’s a knucklehead.  See ya 

Rollins was just a flat out bad selection as was Hundley 

Monty was OK but is he a WR or a RB?   I blame the coaches on that. 

Expecting Hundley to be a #2 was the mistake.

I think TT kind of lost it the last two years he was running the show.   It doesn’t diminish all the good work he did as GM but man there were some head scratching personnel decisions there toward the end. 

Let’s see what’s up with Gut or Gute but so far it looks like he’s off to a good start.

That team might have been competitive in that game had they gotten more from that class. Rollins and Randall were part of a secondary that was toasted. Ripkowski fumbled in the first half carrying the ball when they were driving for a TD.

Second-biggest Mo changer to Seattle game. Just as GB looks like they are going to make a game of it, a guy who never fumbles loses the ball. At that moment, I knew the game was over...

Great article listing the 27 players who suited up in 2017 finale & those who have replaced them on the roster. We are definitely better ,  of course that is without injuries.

AND right as we were driving for another TD. I was expecting a replay of the famous Cardinal playoff shootout.

So if Ripkowski doesn't fumble there, both sides of the ball for us magically get faster? Cripes.  That game was not a fumble away.  It was painfully clear.

So momentum would have made us faster? That game foretold the 2017 monkeypoop circus.

Matt Ryan running 14 yards untouched for an easy TD to put Atlanta up 17-0 early in the 2nd quarter. Was the 5th time I was convinced Capers would be fired. 

Julio Jones 73 yard TD on Atlanta’s 2nd play after halftime to make it 31-0 was the 6th time I was convinced Capers would be fired. 

Green Bay was never winning that game. 

The article below is discussing "no disconnect between Gruden & McKenzie"  seems Oakland also had difficulty finding quality football players in '15, '16 & 17.
