Living outside of Dallas when "America's Team" is falling apart. The fans down here are apoplectic, and the sportswriters of the Dallas Morning News are having a field day.

The latest: Sean Payton's contract voided. Could the Cowboys court him?

x 2

Sean Payton: I’d rather answer a bounty question than talk about coaching the Cowboys

Jerruh Jones: I'm surprised by our lack of offense. We’re running out of time here’

Red Jesus, your life force is running out.

Somewhere Catts (she Catts) is not happy.

I can't imagine anything better than this

According to Matt Barrie of NBC 5 in Dallas, “Jerry Jones just pounded [the] locker room door because no one would let him in. It’s the angriest I’ve seen him all year.”

LMAO!
watching the delusional Saints fans...First it was they were going to have the us against the world mentality and shove it up Goodells face when they won the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Now they are going to have the us against the World mentatility next year when their coach gets back. (if he comes back) Talk about a fan base that is every bit as psycho and paranoid as the Vikings.
From the suddenly giddy position of 6-3, which is more fun to laugh at: Dallas falling completely apart with the good team they have, or Minne-so-ta-ha-ha with Ponder throwing for 63 yards?

Ponder that one!

thanks, you just made my monday. "the wheels on the bus... fall off and crash"
suck it jerruh
I don't hate the Cowboys, but that said, Jerry Jones is living off 2 good things he did in the 1980's, hiring Jimmy Johnson and helping Jimmy pull off the Herschel Walker trade. Since then, I don't think he's really done much of anything right.

They've got 1 playoff win in the past 15 years. They'd be almost completely irrelevant if Jones didn't have such a strong personality that says "Look at me!! Look at me!!". We like to look at him because it's sort of the "you can't take your eyes off the trainwreck" type thing.
As much of a farce Jerruh is, fact is he is the owner. I can understand not wanting to deal with the tool after a game but really how much can you prevent him from access to his own team?

I can't ever picture him as a hands off owner. Which is perfect because it's precisely why he fails.

the old rinse and repeat. yep, don't ever change jerruh - you is perfect.
I thought the topic of this thread was about...

Vikings Slide Continues in 30-20 Loss in Seattle

A few weeks ago the Vikings seemed to be able to do no wrong.

Now they can’t seem to do anything right.

Sunday in Seattle, they started fast with leading rusher Adrian Peterson going for 74 yards on the games second play and then scoring for a quick 7-0 lead, but it didn’t last long, as the Vikings eventually fell to the Seahawks 30-20.

“We are struggling in a lot of areas right now,” said Minnesota head coach Leslie Frazier. “We were not able to capitalize on Adrian’s day and that’s difficult to swallow. We need to have more balance.”

Yes, JR, you can hear your ship sinking!
Rooting for Atlanta all during the regular season. Go get 16-0.

If the Packers play the Falcons in the playoffs, what do you think we'll all be seeing & hearing before the game?
I don't think ATL could beat SFO, CHI, NYG, or the Packers in a playoff game. SEA with their improving D and consistent running game would give them trouble. I don't think GBP will play ATL this year.

I am no huge believer in the Falcons either, but I do give them (and the Bears) credit for beating the teams they are supposed to beat.

The Packers and 49ers and Giants have all proven they can be beaten by lesser teams.
I could care less about the wannabe rivals to the north. Our true rival to the south is looking damn good right now..

We are going to end up facing them in the playoffs again. How about celebrating another NFCC in Soldier Field? I would almost prefer the game there as I couldn't go on living if they beat us in Lambeau.. LOL
There isn't really a team in the NFC that concerns me, besides the Niners.

The Giants have an explosive offense but their defense is lacking, especially in the secondary.

Atlanta obviously has weapons on offense and can move the ball, but they don't run the ball well and they have trouble stopping the run. Also, I don't think they've played a team that has taken advantage of the absence of Brent Grimes. Grimes was a shutdown corner, and without him, the Falcons defense is not nearly as good.

The Bears are the same as they've always been. Fantastic defense, not a good offense. And they have played absolutely nobody.
Happiness is pigheaded jerruh!!

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants to make this absolutely clear: He will remain the team’s general manager. Period.

After Jones told NBC’s Bob Costas that he would have fired a general manager who had his own record as general manager, some people thought Jones was acknowledging that perhaps he should step back and give up the G.M. authority. But Jones said on 105.3 The Fan today that the Cowboys are his team, and that means he’s picking the players.

“We are not structured that way,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “We didn’t structure it that way with my ownership. There’s no way that I would be involved here and not be the final decision-maker on something as important as players, and that is a key area. That’s never been anybody’s misunderstanding. It’s been a debated thing, but it’s just not going to happen. We’ve had success doing it this way and we’re going to have success in the future doing it this way. It eliminates some very serious issues when you look around the league, as to creating an additional layer that you’re continually having decisions, making changes, doing those kinds of things.”

What success is that you've had doing it your way? whatta tool. but bless him for keeping the cowgirls losers. team is as owner is?

edit:
I would absolutely do exactly what this commenter has to say were I, gag, a cowpuke fan.

And Im done as a Cowboys fan
Houston Texans are the way to go

And before anyone calls me or anyone a fair weather fan

Life is too short
Im not waiting for Jerry to DIE before things change.

It’s either me or Jerry, Jerry isn’t going so I must.

Every Cowboy fan in the country should be doing the same.
It’s not OUR team, it’s his.

Let him have the team and stop supporting it

After the years of losing in Green Bay, had the Packers not hired Ron Wolf & started winning, I was going to be done as a Packer fan too.

Man I couldn't stand Judge Parins & all he cared about was making money vs. the product on the field

This dude is smart. The fans control everything because the fans have all the money. Want to make a statement as a Cowboy fan? Follow this fans lead & watch & see what happens when that $1.2 billion "night club" is empty every Sunday.

He thinks it was his way when Johnson was there.

They got a once in a lifetime deal {Herschel Walker} (Thanks Vikings you sumbitches)

Without that deal, they aren't the early 90's dynasty
You're not chilljon--I just got one at 7, with polls only open 1 more hour.
I wish they were live, so I could say something clever like "you don't say, I never knew there was an election going on!"
Personally, I hope Jerruh stays the GM because he's a complete idot when it comes to making personnel decisions and it all but ensures they won't be much of a threat in NFC. Just because you own a football team doesn't mean you have some great ability scouting or drafting players, nor does it mean you know how to make right call with coaches and free agency.

There's a reason guys like Ron Wolf and Bill Polian and Ted Thompson have been successful. They are true blue football guys with a proven track record with multiple teams. Jones may be a marketing and sales genius, but he manages that team's roster like it's fantasy football.

True, because Josh Freeman is a shade better than Christian Ponder.
