Holy crap! The backstory will be most interesting...

Helps the Packers so I'm all for it.

If it helps the Jets beat the f'n Pats, then I am all for it.

Don't care about the Jets. Don't care what Harvin does or doesn't do while he's a Jet. I'm just glad he's a big enough POS that Seattle decided it best to jettison him now.

Schneider still has to answer to the extension he gave Harvin. Seattle is on the hook for the remaining $26 million guarantee. That's $3.125 million per game they just paid him.

I don't get the Janis stuff.  They want him to be a WR and not enable him to be Corey Bradford.  It would be tempting to have him perform that way short term, but long term it's inconsistent with what they want with a WR. It's exacerbated if he gets a scintilla of success with the short term plan and then you risk losing your potential stud.  If he's a dud, yeah I get it.

Not from the sound of it. Schneider gave them an out and they're off the hook now. They rolled the dice, got a Lombardi, and when Harvin continued with his dickitude they shipped him off to Sijersia. Harvin may have a decent rest of the season as Ryan probably rides him like a rented mule until he breaks down, giving Harvin the touches he wants.

Always suspected some mental illness with guy, his "migraines" in Minny, all of his "injuries"

in college at Florida he had an incident where he refused to run stadium steps as punishment & basically told his position coach to "F-off"...of course that great disciplinarian Urban Meyer did nothing about it....Rex Ryan's ego thinks he will be different with him. Reminds me of an old saying in coaching...."A leopard can paint paint his spots, but when it rains they always show through"

After accusing them of stealing his laptop. Word is Percey was socking up WRs at Florida too. So if he's socking up Tate and Baldwin in Seattle I think I've pegged his long range plan for acquiring playing time.

Im not saying this is confirmed. I'm just saying it's going to be harder for Eric Decker to conceal a black eye.

Golden Tate is a tool. It seems the Seahawks have a shed full of them and that is part of the problem. You can put up with Axis II issues if you don't have a coven of players with them..even  our Pals in Chicago manage Brandon Marshall.

I agree that it opens up cap room for Wilson and this is the beginning of their inevitable cap problems that come with winning.

They may have a more pleasant locker room, but this will hurt them on the field.

And not just Tate.

Multiple outlets confirmed the report -- Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times also reported Harvin got in an altercation with Baldwin during the week leading up to the final preseason game this year at Oakland. Both players apparently ended up with cuts on their faces and were excused from practice.

Zierlein also reported a "near fight w/ #3 in '14" -- i.e. Harvin nearly got in a fight with Russell Wilson. If you do something to make Russell Wilson nearly fight you, you're doing something wrong. No one is more level or low key.

I agree with the Wilson comment.  How does someone get riled up enough to get into a fight with Wilson?

This hasn't been a documentary why exactly?

Incredible talent with incredible headaches. The two coordinators were Dan Mullen and Charlie Strong. 30 guys who spent time on NFL rosters. National champs.

Meyer probably had his breakdown keeping many of these guys out of jail.

People wonder why superstar college and NFL players get away with stuff? How many careers were made by this group?  Do Mullen and Strong get where they are without coaching this talent?

Read this morning the hags will absorb a cap hit of over $7 mil in 2015 due to this trade. That would be in addition to any other dead money cap hits they already might incur.

"By trading Harvin after June 1, the Seahawks will carry $1.412 million in cap space this year from his $2.4 million annual signing bonus proration.  Next year, they’ll have $7.2 million in dead money attributed to Harvin."
