I don't see any way Ireland isn't going to land Wallace. He's had too many near misses the past few years on FA's (Peyton). And, like he always does, he's gone public that he wants Wallace. He's going to overpay to get him.

Greg Jennings on the other hand loves this development. He might get his big payday after all.
Speaking of Greg

I've been told the Vikings are currently unlikely to sign Greg Jennings in FA. Jennings doesn't like the fit, wants to play w/ better QB

Also told that Greg Jennings has received interest from the Rams, Colts, Browns, and Bengals, yet is still talking to GB about re-signing

Oakland has shown interest in Greg Jennings as well

Wow, that last part is interesting. I did see an article, quoting Jennings as saying that QB is going to play a huge factor in where he goes. I don't see the Packers matching anything that he gets, but the fact that re-signing is a possibility is good news.
A 1st, 7th, and mid rounder next year seems a little steep for a guy that was pretty open about never playing for Minny again. It has a faint "all in" panic scent about it from Seattle. Maybe they feel they can keep Percy interested / involved / engaged / sober for 2-3 years while Lynch has some tread left?

Speilman has strung together some pretty solid moves that he'll never get full credit for. You don't take Christian Ponder 12th overall and make it all go away by collecting a few draft picks.
The Seahawks are going to implode at some point like the Bengals. Carroll has the same level of arrogance that Marvin Lewis did, HE is the guy who can handle all of these headcases. HE is the players coach who can get 100% out of them. Carroll is treating the NFL like it's college, he's recruiting (signing/trading for) the best athletes with the thinking that he will "out athlete" every team he plays. That style holds up IF you only play teams with inferior athletes and you consistently win...just like with the Bengals. As other teams figured out how to beat them and their winning became less consistent, the headcases revolted and the whole thing crumbled. That's going to happen and I'm going to LOVE it.

I'll take the Packers/Colts/Steelers/Patriots/Ravens style of championship football where you build around a core group of veterans who are true leaders and you play as a team. All of those teams had 1 or 2 headcases, but the leadership and the unity kept the team together. Who are the leaders for the Seahawks? Beast Mode? Richard Sherman? As good as leader as some say Russell Wilson is, he can't hold a whole team together by himself. That team is going to implode when they start losing.

This, not to hijack the thread, but in the Dorsey thread, there is talk about him being a puppet. Did Schneider makes this deal or is Carroll running the asylum out there? For someone who has come through GB and learned from TT, you would think that draft and develop would be the philosophy, and especially stay away from turds in FA.
Harvin is a really good player when he's on the field. I am glad he's leaving the division. But strengthening a team in SF's division isn't a bad deal for the Pack either.

I don't get the "utterly stupid" part- nothing stupid about acquiring an established game breaker for a passing offense tha will improve with it. Sure, the injury history scares you, but on the field there's no doubt that he's a really good player. You don't get a player like Harvin without paying for it.
The "utterly stupid" is the guy isn't a team player, he's all about himself. Moreover, the guy would have been a FA in one year (the Seahawks would have to risk that no other team was going to make a serious offer), and they could sign him without having to give up 3 picks. The fact that they are giving up 3 picks + having to pay him 8-10M/year, is utterly stupid. Pay the dude and don't give up picks (FA), or give up picks and dont pay the dude (trade), but they traded for a guy who basically is a FA (one year away, a "rental").

...Vikes played better with him out of line up...addition by subtraction. This guy has not shown the capacity to hold things together for very long...."migraines" etc. When at Florida, Meyers basically lost any credability he had when Harvin refused to do conditioning that an assistant coach assigned....this guy is a cancer, a coach-killer, no on-the-field production in the world can offset that.

Pete Carroll is having a pissing match with his old nemesis Jim Harbaugh. They faced off in college and now in the NFL...add in former USC guy Jeff Fisher with the Rams and the NFC west should be very entertaining for a couple of seasons
The Vikings traded LITERALLY the 2nd best player on their team. That's like GB trading Clay Matthews for a mere 1st round pick. They wouldn't have done that if he wasn't a monumental turd. I know they're stupid, but even the Vikes are not stupid enough to trade such an uber talented player if he wasn't a total dud. As someone else said, they played better without him. They stopped waiting around for him to be their offense.

Which really makes you wonder if John Schneider was listening while in GB here OR whether he's simply window dressing and it's Carroll making the decisions.

Because that trades screams everything that TT isn't about. Seahags WAY overpaid for this trade. 1.) It's hardly a lock that Harvin's headaches will just go away now. 2.) to expect harvin to suddenly morph into a Donald Driver type teammate is a joke. 3.) He's displayed turd behavior since college and it wouldnt surprise me in the least to see his effort go right into the crapper now that he's gotten $$$$.

Clay Matthews was on the board when they grabbed Percy.
Aaron Rodgers was on the board when they grabbed Troy Williamson

And since they draft before the Packers again in 2013, it'll be fun to see which turd they choose, leaving yet another elite player for the Packers
