Cleveland seems to have a solid defense, but I'm guessing they will bank on Boykin not being able to deliver as the #2 and will stack up against the run. I don't see Lacy having a big day because of it. This is a game that will be won or lost by our TEs. Finley MUST come through because their focus will be on stopping Lacy and Nelson, so I'm guessing Finley will get some opportunities.
Perry is out? Please tell me this is just a sick joke.
None too thrilled to hear that Perry seems to be worse than expected seeing as he did come back in the game on Sunday after having been out for a bit. He really was finally coming into his own in that ROLB spot.
The Pack should beat Cleveland, but that said, I think it will be a dogfight. If Hoyer were still playing for Cleveland, they might have been even tougher to beat than the Ravens.
Time to unveil the heavily geared 2-TE sets.
Forget the offense....with all the LB injuries, maybe it's time for a 4-3 defense with all the LB injuries and the quality/depth we have at defensive line.
(although if Jones is back this week, maybe they move him back to outside LB until Matthews gets back, and keep Lattimore inside)
This is why we carry 19 tight ends. I fully expect to see several 3 TE sets this week with Jmike splitting out wide and Nelson on the other side.
Gives us the option to play the run / pass matchup game.
Hilarious, expletive filled rant. Angry Browns fan who hates Weeden.

I also expect Finley to be split out more this week. Jordy is likely to be a non-factor with Haden on him. Would be interesting to see Franklin line up in the slot a little bit. Would be good to use the screen game some and get the pass rush and run stopping down. Going to need to run and PA pass. Cleveland is tough on defense. They have athletic WRs. Our defensive backfield is more geared toward stopping athletic WRs than physical ones (compare A.J. Green's game to Anquon Boldin). The biggest trouble is they have a serious TE and we have been terrible at stopping TEs over the years. Still, Weeden does not strike fear into the hearts of men. Could be tight. Good game to have the home crowd. I still think the Packers pull this out, but I might need more alcohol to handle the pain.
Hope no one is taking the Browns lightly. They have played well as of late.
I love the progress our D and running game have made this year but with our injuries we can't overlook anyone
even with the lb injuries GB def will have a big day. i have faith in the dline to plug the holes and contain mcgahee, opening up the lb's to make plays and allow for more nickel coverage. weeden is not much of a threat but he'll be forcing a lot of passes to gordon and cameron. cameron makes me the most nervous, but i still see weeden having a 3 int day.
clev def is pretty good. haden is tough and if he shadows nelson then rodgers will really have to plant some perfect passes to him. finley lining up more as a wr makes sense. would like to see franklin get involved on some short routes and dump-offs. if boykin brings his hands game he could be in for some big plays.
Pack forfeits.
Packers wearing throwback uniforms this week, except for the regular helmets.

Is Brandon Wheeden a Nazzijoo?
That loser needs to switch to decaf.

i'm debating between my #66 throwback or my #4 "Sext Me" pink jersey.
Only mine is an #84

I say you challenge Haden.
I'm all for throwbacks. And while your at it put Boyd Dowler in one, Carroll Dale in another. Throw in Dave Robinson and Leroy Caffey on the D. I mean as they would have played then, not as they would play now.
I was a big Carroll Dale fan during my youth.
I agree Esox, challenge Haden.
I remember when Brandon Weeden was drafted by the Yankees. A scrappy little relief pitcher who ultimately got traded to the Dodgers. Shame he didn't work out.
"Keep calm and carry on"
"Nobody's panicking"
Summary of coach Mike McCarthy's Wednesday post-practice press conference with the injury report listed first:
McCarthy
(James Jones) Friday will be the day we decide. He's very positive about his rehab.
Sorry, Mike.. Nobody is buying your Bill. B impersonation.
Packers defense was nasty in that 1965 NFL title game, holding the Brown to 161 yards. (stat courtesy of Jeff Ash)
They held the great Jim Brown to a pedestrian-like 50 yards on 12 carries. Definitely was a nasty D that day.
One of my all time favorite Packer.
Another step forward.
Is he a giant or is that a really tiny bottle of coke?
giant of a man in a typical human body.
Some of us remember when Coke was sold in 6 1/2 ounce bottles, also 10 ounce bottles.
MM: James Campen felt Sherrod looked good
MM: Micah Hyde, from day one, said he's about as natural a returner handling the football I've seen coming out of college. Like Woodson.
MM: If we can't, it would stress our special teams. If you look at the makeup of our roster right now. LB position is area we're stressed
McCarthy on Richardson: There's been tests done. No decision has been made yet.
I don't ever remember not having 45 (46 now) available players for a game.
