@AdamSchefter: Broncos QB Peyton Manning played Sunday’s Divisional Playoff loss and the past month of the season with a torn right quad, per two sources.
@AdamSchefter: Peyton Manning initially tore his right quad Dec. 14 in win over Chargers, per sources. MRI back in Denver confirmed tear.
So why wasn't he on the Denver injury report?? NFL may have something to say about this if it is true.
Would help explain his turd performances the last month or so. But agree with Ammo, I don't how the Donkeys could avoid reporting that.
because the donkeys cheat
He was for weeks 16,17 and yesterday......thigh
That quad injury (from Dec.) doesn't explain the poor accuracy on deep throws earlier in the season.
Wondering if this is semantics. Sprains and strains are tears. I hardly think he's be able to walk, let alone play football in the NFL with a "TORN" (what people think when you hear TORN vs strain) quad.
Sounds to me he had a similar injury to Rodgers, but in his quad vs calf.
I was rong thinking this dip**** would be a better pro QB then Luck.
Based on his rookie season, it looked like he was going to become the face of the NFL for the next ten years.

The Monday Morning MD, Dr David Chao commented on this earlier - what he said was that with the quad, there are other muscles that can handle the workload while it heals. With the calf, there aren't any. And that's a part of why the calf takes longer to heal; no assistance available
Specifically: Peyton Manning has a torn rectus femoris
So, in other words, Peyton tore himself a new one?

Vince Young was the NFL Rookie of the Year in 2006. He was a bigger version of RG3. Once NFL coordinators get film on a one-trick pony like Vince, RG3, Colin Kaepernick, etc. they'll stop the running game or the zone read. When that happens, the QB actually has to learn how to read defenses. Russell Wilson can, these others guys can't (or in RG3's case don't want to put in the time).
Not sure if anyone cares but you guys are missing some amazing sports radio here in Denver. Manning is old and done and the team needs to pass the torch to Osweiler. Fox couln't inspire the players and give them that "fire". Gase's game plan was crap and he couldn't adjust when things weren't working. Del Rio wasn't able to get the most out of a defense with 5 pro bowlers (3 of which were brought on board by Elway this year). And now Elway......who put together a flawed roster yet thinks it was truly championship worthy, along with criticism that he was handed a job as a GM despite limited personnel experience.
Just thought you'd all like to know.....since I know most here have a strong dislike of the Denver Broncos.
Thanks. I was in school in Colorado when the Orange Crush Broncos emerged. Fans were rabid back then, too.
Love to see this franchise self-immolating, but especially gratifying with Elway at the helm.
Maybe a bigger surprise to me than Manning's rapid decline, was just how poor the Denver defense looked against Indy. A couple months ago, that Denver team that just demolished San Francisco was firing on all cylinders. They had it all going, but that was their peak for this season.
Manning began to decline, and maybe more surprisingly, the defense lost the ability to rush the passer. It seemed like all the Denver defensive guys just got old/tired at once, or just stopped playing hard. Von Miller seemed like the only guy even close to his normal self, and he wasn't at the level he had been a couple years ago. They made things way way too comfortable for Andrew Luck and you have no chance if you don't get some sort of rush on him.
Elway just did basically what every idiot fan wants done after his team loses in the playoffs - FIRE EVERYBODY!
I'm going to enjoy watching this dumpster burn and then watch said idiot fans proclaim they'd never overreact like this.
