Adam Stenavich has done an outstanding job with this group. Playing without two starters, they have not missed a beat. Not only playing great as a unit, but individually guys like Turner & Wagner are playing better than they did with former teams / coaches.

This. They flat out dominated the no. 1 defense.
Been giving him love for weeks. Welcome to the club
He needs a BIG raise. Quite a teacher.
Can he handle ST and Oline at the same time? Uncle Fester looking motherfucker.
I think one of my favorite parts of the game was when they overloaded the oline with Dafney and Fak-a-pult. Like they were saying "we're just going to run you sombitches over".
I was really surprised by the lack of penetration by the Rams d-line....don't get me wrong our o-line played great, but there was no run stunts, no slants, no run blitzes by the Rams .... their d-lineman looked like they just stood up and played "patty-cake" with our o-lineman. We often had 5 blockers on 5 defenders and the RBs just got behind a blocker and followed them.
Campen was great too. Packers fans have been very blessed to have had great OL coaches for a long time. Steno should be getting talked about for promotional opportunities. I hope he doesn't get any.
Makes you wonder if Staley was game planning for Rodgers looking for the long ball instead of the quick short game and heavy run game. Staley justifiably has confidence in the front 4 but if he was out schemed well then that's just hubris.

Thatâs because typically they can get away with it because their front 4 wins one on ones.
Butkus deserves a lot of credit as well. Saw some speculation floating around out there about Stenavich possibly being considered for an OC position.
No, no. Gotta keep Steno. Give him a huge raise to keep him on that line job. Campen was also good, but Steno has lifted those guys to another level. I don't think I've seen another line do anything like this. Most of us were griping before the year started how Lindsley was falling off, and everyone but Bak and Jenkins sucked and how were we going to replace Bulaga? And now we have one of the best, if not the best, line in the league that just stoned the No. 1 defense.*

Truth
Gute done a good job with talent as well. Bakh, Linsley, and I think Patrick were already here, but betting on a much cheaper Rick Wagner (compared to keeping Bulaga), investing in a Jack of all trades talent in Turner, and drafting young talent like Jenkins, Runyan, and hopefully Stepaniak as well. Marriage of find good talent that truly fit the scheme makes for a quality OL.
I agree and heâs hit in some winners like Jaire.
There are some postings in another thread that were about what would be best for Love post-ARod. I think the choices were at RB, WR, or OL.
I think the very best would be for him to have a strong OL above all else. That's why I hope they keep drafting OL when it makes sense to, and keep Stenavich and/or Butkus in their roles for as long as possible.
In addition, we have to either extend or replace Linsley (and a long snapper!), Patrick and Wagner will be FAs after next year, and Turner and Jenkins the year after that. Change is inevitable, of course, but maintaining some kind of continuity will be paramount. The same is true for the coaching staff.
Don't forget Lane Taylor was looking very good before his season-ending injury. Even though he is a FA, he might come back on the cheap 1-year prove it deal to re-establish himself.
Changes this year due to the pandemic that I'd like to see kept are with the roster(s) size and the movement between PS and 53. I doubt they change the PS eligibility rules long term (the ones in place this season), but the PS size should be increased and teams should have more flexibility for game day actives.
I think some of the pandemic changes will stick especially the seven teams in the playoffs and only one bye
Also, more flexibility in short term IR, say 6 weeks, with a cap of total number of players for the 6 week IR for the season.
Isn't the 7 teams playoff a non-pandemic permanent change?
17 regular season games next year but no word, that I recall, about the 7 playoff teams.
Remember when several writers and fans said LaFleur wouldn't be able to hire quality assistants due to his inexperience ? Well .....Wrong ..... I kinda like what we're seeing from Stenovich, Hackett, Outten, Sirmans, and others.
And yet only Hackett with a sniff for a promotion to another team.
I remember the Holmgren staff really got it's run after they won the Owl. Seems nowadays coaches are getting noticed because of regular season success and playoff appearances.
He has just done a phenomenal job. Turner has really upped his game and showed his value. I thought the RT position would be a mess after losing Bulaga and signing Wagner. Wagner and Turner have well exceeded expectations. I like what I've seen from Runyan as well and Bak, Linsley, and Jenkins are all among the best at their positions....
Found on YA's world wide web :
Jamaal Williams is averaging 2.5 yards before contact
Aaron Jones is averaging 2.4. before contact
For reference, Derrick Henry is getting1.9 yards before getting hit.
Stenovich is my hero !!!
Jones sucks

Yes, it's part of the new CBA and has been mentioned and acknowledged multiple times here but some of our dum dums need some extra extra reinforcement of that.
One of the other Covid changes I'd like to see stick around is the ability to protect 4 guys on your PS.

While it's great to have All-Pros like Bakh, Jenkins, and Linsley, OL might be the most important unit to not have a player completely over their head (Jason Spriggs). DB is probably the same way (Josh Jackson)
Four A level players with a D- often gets you beat (Jason Spriggs). Just having guys like Wagner, Turner, and Veldheer for depth that will at least provide some level of resistance is crucial.

Owners might push back against that because you have to pay them a full-time salary if you do that. Otherwise, why would any player (or the players association) agree to lock guys onto the practice squad when you get a minimum of 30K/game for being on the active roster or 12K/game as a vet to be on the practice squad?
I agree with having 4 more guys around for stability, but just make them part of the roster and allow teams to have more flexibility on their inactive list.
Dum dum reads new CBA. Extra reinforcement received.
The Packdog show. "Remember that time when . . . "
MLF's offense is not only QB friendly but is also OL friendly. With AR getting the ball out quick, it makes the OL's job much easier which has to be one of the reasons they've fared so well through all the shuffling. It must be a relief and even energizing for the OL that were here before MLF to no longer have to pass block for 5-10sec while AR runs around waiting for a receiver to break open on a scramble drill.
This business of scheming guys open is just all kinds of silly fun

Not to mention more focus on the running game which gives them more chances to be the guys handing out the ass whippings instead of preventing them.

Mixed in with intelligent passes to Tonyan and the like. Love it when we get the ball late and never give it up and close with victory formation. Few things sweeter than that.
