I suspect Carlson's impact on wins/losses will be a wash. He'll be a part of why they lose a couple, then be a part of why they win a couple.
FWIW
Love was 32/6 TD/Int the year before he went 20/17.

"Propensity" wasn't an official stat until 2020.
I can't wait to watch this unfold.
Pray 🙏 for good health.
This season is going to be like watching Rodgers beat Manning in Lambeau.

There's 18 weeks in the season. 😉😁
Is this a rebuild year/years?
It was a rebuilding summer, but now the damned thing is built so let's go!
Some do.
Does not appear that he did. More of a just scratched the surface kind of college career.
@Goalline posted:Shhhh! No one is allowed to talk about that, don’t you know?
What no one has talked about is after Love's 32/6 year the next season he had 4 new offensive linemen and a new Head Coach, Gary Anderson. We all saw what Anderson did to Joel Stave at the UW so I'm surprised Love did as well as he did.

He had 9 new starters on that offense. Some folks are blaming Rodgers’ shitty season last year on the fact that he had a couple of new receivers. The same people pile on Love for failure to overcome 9 new starters. Nice to have it both ways.
9 new starters, 4/5 of your Oline and a new coach, system and verbiage is a far cry from a couple new receivers.

Not just any new coach, Gary Anderson.

I think he's referring to the Brad Pitt movie.

If that is the # of Bear wins, take the under.

7-0 Packers 😁
The Packers have beat the Bears 8 straight and it's been 15 years since the Bears won the season series so we can eliminate both of those events representing the #7.
I think we can be a "over .500" team, if Love has a "middle-of-the-pack" season compared to other NFL starting QBs....which I think he is quite capable of. Comparing the other position groups to last season:
O-line- we are in much better shape to start the season than we were last year
WRs- should be better than last year, more speed
TEs- definitely not the depth, but Musgrave has the big play potential that we've lacked since Cook.
D-Line - may be the most improved position group on either side of the ball
Edge - If Gary returns to form this is a deeper group than last year
LBs - would hope Walker is better in his second year
CBs- addition of Valentine makes this group better
Safeties- IMHO the weakest position group we have and cause for worry
Special Teams - would expect coverage teams to be better in second season. Placekicker gives reason for concern.
I got Love in Top 10 this year.
Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Lamar, K. Pickett, Rodgers, Cousins, Hurts.
That's Nine....who is in the next tier??
Trevor Lawrence? One of the rookies? Tua if he can stay out of concussion protocol? Brock Purdy dinking and dunking his way to top 10? Matt Stafford? Jared Goff? Justin Fields?? Mac Jones??
There is a lot of speed on this Packer offense and a very good O-Line. With an excellent 1-2 punch at running game.
Even if Love is Trent Dilfer on the 2000 Ravens, they should win at a minimum 8 games.
Health is always the key.
I would put Dak over Picket and Cousins for sure. He should have a good year if the offense is healthy. IF Love is in the top 10 this year, then the Packers are in good shape for the next few years.

7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office. 'Cause you're fuckin' fired!
My fear is that everyone’s sense of optimism regarding this season is much like Bong’s Friday nights in high school. At 7:00 it looked like it was going to be a great night…and by 10:00 you’re on the couch next to Mom’s boyfriend watching “Love American Style”

I agree with this post, 1000%. I think we (us fans) can support our Packers w/o being overly optimistic. They will be fun to watch, very competitive, but there will be some growing pains along the way.
The biggest factor for success will be the defense. Everyone is talking about Love but if he plays like Rodgers did, which most didn't think was any better than an average QB, we should win as many games as last year. If the defense stays healthier than it did last year and it finally plays up to it's potential we should win more than last year. The defense has never been this deep with quality players.

The number of accurate passes Justin Fields threw last year.
From APnwriter:
Green Bay Packers (10–7)
If I had to do this exercise over again, I would probably have the Packers win the division. Jordan Love looks really good. Their defense can’t be worse than it was a year ago, and, I have it on good authority, will be far tighter in coverage this year after a bit of a mess in the secondary. Given their season-opening slate of Bears, Falcons and Saints, starting the year 3–0 doesn’t just seem like a pipe dream; it feels like a smart bet.
